Inside of barrel is flawless, as I took off this barrel right when I got home from the gun shop, and it has been sitting in the closet for about 2 weeks:

question - whats the process of selling a gun

For your liability reasons is it common practice to transfer over the gun/serial #/ etc?

ALSO- can anybody without any proper training go in and buy a gun?

question - whats the process of selling a gun

It all depends on what state you live in, your local laws, and what type of gun you are selling. In some states, you can sell your gun (or give it as a gift) to someone else in-state and not have to register it. Other states require it to go through an FFL Dealer.

For your liability reasons is it common practice to transfer over the gun/serial #/ etc?

Again, this all depends on your local laws. They differ between regions/states.

ALSO- can anybody without any proper training go in and buy a gun?

That is pretty much the case in most states. So long as you have no criminal background/mental illness and pass the background check/NICS check, you are good to go. Some states, such as CA, have a waiting period before you can pick up your gun (For CA, it is 10 days). Some states, also require you to have a "handgun safety certificate" (like a license) before you are able to purchase a handgun.

Again, this varies from state to state, so it is best that you refer to your state's Firearms Division website.
