So who has a supercharger in for a long time?? Any problems?? And if there were any problems what were they?? Any consistent problems?? I have a 330 and am thinking about getting a supercharger. I have a cold intake and exhaust. The RPM Racing shop said, 7 g's for a s/c and installment. What do you think also??

call TKX, talk to taso. he's rpm's former head tech. he's EXCELLENT, tunes and maintains both of my cars. dont deal with RPM, they love to jerk you around. 631-424-3640.

ive had my SC since 2/2004, 22months, and put 15,000miles on it. problem free. all ive had to do was changed a belt and pulley... oh and the AA air sensor. but thats it.

i have had my asa kit 6.5 lb w/ oil cooler for 30K miles not one issue knock on wood.

its not about the kit itself .. its proper install of it.

oh call RPM tell them you will pay cash for the kit ( figured your getting the AA) , you should not pay over 6 with install if you pay cash.

I've had my ESS VT-1 supercharger in from 12/02 thru 5/05 and the ESS TX2 from 5/05 until present. I put 19000 miles on my car with the superchargers. The only issue I had with the VT1 was an idling issue and the car never made the rated power. BUT, the TX2 has run flawlessly and made exactly what ESS said it would. So, three years and no problems, but I don't drop the clutch or run the car super hard. You should be fine.... Go with the TX2 if you go with ESS, they opened up a shop in San Diego (almost certain it is SD) now so they are here in the US. Regards.

OH BY THE WAY, I second what HIGH_HEAT said.... A PROPER INSTALL IS THE KEY... The only problems I've ever heard of had to do with improper installs.

My '01 330i is still running strong approaching 90k miles, 60k of those boosted with the ESS VT2. I talk to the new owner all the time and he drives the piss out of it. No problems.

Again, and he agrees as well, install and maintenance are the most important.
