OK, here's numbers that most people care about. I've been recording 0-60 runs with my new G-Tech Pro RR. I've been making sure that the area I ran in as well as the setup of the car and the conditions were nearly identical. No spare tire, most junk removed from the car, 1/4 tank gas, ~60 degrees. Each session, I ran 3 runs that were all within 1/10th of a second. The best of those 3 runs is listed. The car is quick!
Whether you believe the accuracy of the G-Tech Pro or not is up to you, but I believe that the numbers are consistent enough to at least show you the difference. These numbers are *unofficial*. Official 1/4 mile times will be obtained soon along with videos.
Dinan Intake/Throttle Body/Software/UUC TSE/Hamann PGIIs
Best 0-60 = 7.076 seconds :thumbdwn: - * Note: Car was too low. LOTS of rubbing when launching + crappy street tires.

ASA S/C w/UUC TSE/Hamann PGIIs - car was raised 3/4 inch
Best 0-60 = 5.313 seconds :)

ASA S/C w/UUC TSE 3/SSR GT2s
Best 0-60 = 5.095 seconds

I had estimated ~5.1 would be the best I could do and I was right. Since I can't add any more power, the only way to improve this further is to reduce weight and change the gear ratios. For reference, info about my S/C, dyno graphs, and latest mods can be found on these threads:

awesome!
you're at 6.5 psi, pushing ~340 hp though, right? and not the "safe" way at ~300-325 hp

Yea, if you look at my before and after dynos, you'll see that before, I was putting down very low numbers for what I had...~170HP at the wheels when stock its supposed to be ~180HP. With the S/C on, there is over 50% improvement in HP and 37% improvement in TQ at the wheels. This would seem to correlate with the big improvement in the 0-60 numbers I ran.
Oh, and by switching to a lighter wheel/tire combo with SSR GT2s vs. Hamann PGIIs, I saved 50lbs of unsprung weight which further helped acceleration as proven by the numbers.

wow 50lbs of unsprung weight really? SSR's really that much lighter?
How's your tranny seem to be holding up so far? What is your future with this tranny, say if the worst is to happen...?

Fine...Maybe 1,000 miles with the S/C now. If it busts, the plan is to put in a 6-speed manual, then get headers, cams, a better clutch, a short-shift kit, an LSD and possibly some body work to get fender clearance for bigger wheels and more rubber to the ground. I've got it all figured out :D

how does that gtech thing work ?

Thats a real big difference. Good to hear everything worked out and the tranny is holding that power. May be in my future too, just worried about the tranny giving up on me. But then if that happens I was thinking of going the same route you have planned out with a 6-speed M tranny.

Good job, Al! Btw, I think you might need to elaborate on what V710s are. ;)

Using MEMS accelerometers. Same with Escort G-Timer.

Sounds about right, that's the best i could do out of half a dozen tries was low 5's in my ZHP. I think if i practiced some more i could hit high 4's since all my launches had some wheel spin.

I got the tire weights from TireRack.com. They have weights for all tires and sizes.

Wow... thats awesome dude. But that being said, for all the money involved, is it really worth it?:dunno:
Not trying to say its not awesome, cause it is, i just could never justify it... but i wish i could

Heh, close to my plan. I have a 328 with a 5-spd manual. When my clutch goes, I'm thinking of getting a new clutch, 6-speed conversion and a 3.38 LSD. I already have the headers, cams and Technik stg1 PnP head (you should think about doing this when you do your cams since the head will be off). Doing headers, head and cams at the same time basically gives you free install on the head and headers since they need to come off to do the cams.
Also, reducing the weight of wheels is a great way to shave weight since they are rotating mass and you get a multiplication effect when compared to a comparable weight loss on a non-rotating component.
The car is looking good. You should give us some more close-ups of the engine bay.

I`ve been thinking of buying the ESS TX1 charger with 7psi - the ESS website claims power hike up to 315bhp! This is probably at the flywheel. The kit doesn`t come with an intercooler either!
How did you manage such a gain in bhp with the 6.5psi kit??:yikes:
Am i missing something..........:dunno:
