I just want to apologize to Samir @ Technik Engineering for the miscommunication and the wrong accusation about the Schrick Camshafts that I've made toward him and the company.

Right now, I'm getting all my questions cleared by SCHRICK head company in Germany.

Just so that you all know, I got furious and started to vent when I've heard that there is not supposed to be a word BMW engraved and it's supposed to be SCHRICK engraved on all the Schrick cams. But Schrick Germany replied, they use OE blanks, and sometimes there is BMW engraved on their cams. So again, my apologies to you Samir, I don't know where did u get that WRONG info from, but I hope you understand that I'm a NOOB at this.

Samir @ Technik Engineering have been really helpful to answer all my questions about any Performance mods. Props to Technik & Samir for this, and again I hope you will accept my apologies.

I faced the same 'problem' last year when I bought the Schrick NA cams from Rennsports.....

Here's the reply from Schrick GmbH

Subject: AW: Need help!! Fake Schrick Cams

Dear Mr. Leong,

To provide any misunderstanding:
We do not use original camshafts and grind our profiles on them.
We sometimes (if possible) use original blanks (casted blanks) and grind them.
This is absolutely not comparable with re-grinding original camshafts.
Re-grinded cams would be not new. Our camshafts are new produced parts.
And they are definitly no camshafts with original/stock profiles. We do not
produce any camshafts with original profiles.
The installation manual you mention is none. It is just a little booklet with the
same specs of the camshafts and the other parts produced by Schrick that are
mentioned in our catalogs. The most important setting fitting a camshaft is the
valve lift at TDC, this is mentioned in our catalogs, too. For fitting the BMW camshafts
there is needed an installation tool, BMW uses also for the original cams.
BMW tuners should have this, too. Please find added to this mail the newest version
of the mentioned booklet.

Pretty much the same. I've sent some pics to SCHRICK Germany, but he hasn't replied me yet.

Technik has been very open about their development schedule. If you do a search you can see what they are currently working on and why the stg2 kit for the M3 isn't out yet. They have a lot of projects they are working on in addition to the regular service and installs they are doing.

In my experience (having now installed their S/C kit, cams and Ported and Polished head), Samir has been very helpful and more than willing to work out any problems that arise in a fair and equitable manner.

kerisabe - Any feedback on the cams yet? You should be well into full throttle runs now and depending on your mileage, your DME programming should be fully adapted.
