Hi,
Only recently installed the SAFC Selent into my E46 325 with the ASA SK1.

On the dyno, the AFR is on the lean side. After correcting the fuel, no change in the AFR. Thus we suspected the DME to be compensating for the changes that we were making thru the SAFC.

But no, we also tested the OEM injectors and found that they were already working at 100%, thus the fuel corrections made no difference.

So, i am in search of some larger injectors. But i do not know how big to go. I will be fitting a 8psi pully when i fit the injectors.

Will ACCEL injectors work well? And if so, what;s the recommended size i should get?

Thanks All.

I would say go for 450cc to 500cc injectors. any bigger then 500cc would be a waist

Since the SAFC only permits adjustments of +/-50% for each data point the max injector size that you can compensate for would be twice that of the stock injectors.

That said, you might as well get the biggest ones you can and go for a custom tune. The extra headroom will come in handy if you decide to go for a boost bump in the future.

Daniel,

Seems like we had this conversation before or maybe not...

Have a E46 325 with ASA myself too. Here's a quick summary. Let's start off with a 325 with ASA SK1 and ASAtronic. The OE injectors (19#) will not work very well. A few 325 folks here and myself have had lean issues. ASATronic at that point will be turned fully to rich. I believe you might have experienced that or else you wouldn't have tried SAFC.

Now suppose one has stuck with ASAtronic. I have tried the 330 OE injectors (22#) and turned down the ASAtronic to about 7 turns from rich. This setup pulled me through several track events without a glitch. No lean codes or anything. I have also tried Bosch 24# injectors and ASAtronic. That has idling and cold start issues.

That being said, given your current situation, try Bosch 24# injectors. You will need six spacers as well. Even with a 8psi pulley, I believe 24# will hold. Contact Samir to confirm.

Mr Paddle Shift,

Nope, We have not spoken before regarding this matter, so i am guessing someone else has already asked you this same question.

But, nevertheless, thanks for answering it again for my sake!

The Bosch #24 Injectors, what do you mean when you mentioned that i need 6 spacers? one each or 6 each?
