it would be interesting to see the s/c'ed 323's 0-60 times.i have a 323ci,5 spd, extreactors, larger injectors,m3 flywheel, custom quad exaust, vortech charger@10psi.with this setup the car is not running at full potential, living in australia,we go by kms,so 0-60 equals 0-100kms.my current time is 5.8 secs with 20" wheels (which slow my time)not bad i guess

5.8secs? I don't think so...
You'll be lucky if you get 6.2/6.3

never tried 0 60? maybe I will and see what I come up with.

Where did you whip that number up from? A stock 323 5spd according to bmw's official numbers does 0-60 in 7.1sec with numerous members here and magazine tests showing thats even understated. Considering this member is running a higher 10psi setup...5.8 is very possible and its def. his rims thats holding him back.

Sorry not a the 323ci...................nice to dream though. Put 15" wheels and go downhill with a tailwind and maybe you'll get there.

Wtf are you talking about? Shut up for the sake of all of us please.
0-60 is a retarded measurement, 1/4 mile is a much better way to measure acceleration.
PS-your extra .3 liters makes you car a ****ing beast!

I completey agree...0-60 is so pointless...it all depends on gearing.
Take an m5 for example...it does 0 - 60 in 4.1 - 4.5 seconds...people think ohhhh thats so slow for 500hp...But that car pulls away from nearly anything as the speeds increase..

With the number you posted @ 10psi... it is very possible...
Might want to watch your internals though... :)

Do your research. The 323 and 325 have almost exactly the same 0-60 performance. Why is that? Because both are 2.5l I6 engines with almost the same torque ratings and very close horsepower ratings. Actually, the M52TU has a slightly higher torque rating than that of the M54TU

I heard from a my 330i thread on SCing, that our engines are only made for about 8 psi max........otherwise you would have to change other things like the engine internals.........did you do that or are you just trying your luck with 10psi and stock internals?

I was under the impression that the engine can withstand around 400 horsepower max. That would explain why Technic's Stage 3 does not require building up the engine.

 ZHP stock will do it in 5.8-5.9 I think. Why not a S/C 323ci... ?

Well hey first of all a stock 330i Zhp when being tested by car and driver did 0-60 in 5.6 and 1/4mile in 14.3 at 97.
My car is a 328ci which i know weighs less than that 330i and using a G-tech pro without launching the car i was able to get a 0-60 in 6.2 and that is with 19 inch wheels. That is with 187whp and 194wtq. After i learned how to launch the car i raced some 330 zhp's and took them of the line and had atleast a car length by 60. Now i of course have torque which that supercharged 323 doesnt and i also dont have 20 inch wheels but i bet that car could just about do it in 5.8.

well at the moment my car needs a major dyno tune.it has just got a new piggy back ecu.despite this i tested it also with a g-tech pro.the launch was too big,and for about 5 metres went sideways.0-60 was 5.7,and 1/4 mile was 13.78.i was expecting 1/4 mile to be in the mid 14's.how accurate are these g techs anyway?
bimmer328ci
03-10-2006, 06:48 PM
actually it seems that gtechs are very accurate atleast from what i know. One of the tests i did was on my sister 2003 Rav4 L and i recorded identical numbers to what every magazine had on the car, so i would think that they are very accurate. I dont really know though because on my car with the 0-60 in 6.2 without a launch i recorded the 1/4 mile in 14.7 at 98. I also forgot to say i had a passenger and something like half to a full tank of gas. To be as accurate as possible you really need a very flat and straight road and good surface for it to.

Gtech's aren't that accurate. They can be, but you have to know how to "tune" it.

i got mine accurate but then i have dyno's for my car so i can do that but for other ppl itll be hard
