P.S. will you provide a "no post cat 02 sensors error" code option?

No, but we offer a "legal" solution using a cat downstream and extending the sensors.

We're working on that right now. Will definitely have more info soon.

How loud will these headers get?
This depends on the type of rear muffler you're running and whether you have all your stock resonators. In general, a good combination with headers is either Remus or Supersprint, since they are relatively quiet systems (balances out).

The main advantage is the thermal coating, which was optional before. With respect to performance, they are about the same, since the collector size and overall bend design is similar.

Cool. How much for the legal setup?

$125 for the cat w/ bungs + $250 for extended probes (if you don't want to extend yours).

wow! $125 for the cats is an amazing deal! $250 for the extended probes aren't a bad price either because OEM 02 sensors are around $90-120 per sensor.
samir,
did you guys move yet??

I think aftermarket cats are legal in that they will allow you to pass the tailpipe sniffer test and won't throw a CEL. Whether they will pass a visual inspection I think depends on how savvy the inspector is.
I can pretty much guarantee you that the exhaust will be obviously louder with headers. I have the supersprint headers, cats and race exhaust and it is loud. You definitely won't confuse my car for stock. It clearly sounds tuned. Adding a resonator would quiet it down a bit. You might get it quieter with a different exhaust, but it will never sound stock with headers.

Would anyone happen to know what these headers would sound like on a stock ZHP exhaust? I'm debating either headers or UUC TSE3 exhaust for my car. I like the fact that headers give more performance than the exhaust but I don't want it crazy loud and bad soundind. I want a nice exhaust note.

Whats the difference between these headers and the Supersprint ones, other than the fact that the SS ones are much more expensive??

With these will you still need to have these welded into new pipes to connect from headers to resonators? And this wont throw any cell?

Nothing major, just that these are thermal coated and have a slightly different design.

Yes, the cat and bungs need to be welded into place after the headers are put in. Once in place, the ECU will be happy (no CEL).

Samir! This Gen2 headers looks amazing man!!!
Any chance that you can design 1 for our RHD cars please!!!!
So far Hi-Op have been dominating with their headers for RHD M54 inline6 in Asia.....
Really hope that Technik can help us RHD bimmers here......sigh.....
Did you get my email regarding how to increase the fuel pressure for ASA SK+ kit (8psi) on a Z4 with SK1 FPR??
