I have a set of technik headers and a UUC exhaust and I am in the process of installing a post-cat 02 simulator and I have it half way installed but since it has snowed here in Mi I have lost my desire to get underneath my car. I bought an OBDII Check engine light reader and I am running lean in the first three cylinders because I have the simulator half way installed. IS THERE ANY LONG TERM REPROCUSSIONS OF RUNNING LEAN and how pertinent is it that I fix it right away?????? Thanks

YES!!! A lean mixture makes your engine run hotter and can cause detonation, which is potentially very harmful to your engine. The question is how lean? Also you should never have half of your cylinders running one way and half running another way. This is all potentially very harmful to engine and could lead to catastrophic failure.

Thanks for the quick response. I just went out and manned up to the cold and fixed it.

ArtDMSU,

I am extremely interested in how your exhaust install works out.

I have a N/A engine that I'd love to put a set of headers on, but don't want to chop up my UUC TSE3 to install cats. (My car is mostly a track toy, so I'm not worried about emissions)

Was there much difficulty installing the headers?

Where did you get your post-cat emulators?

How does the car sound? (I'm not that worried about being loud)

If anyone else has info on running this comination as a "track setup", please feel free to share.

Thanks,

Adam
