Yeah, the addiction is back! Read about it here (http://home.comcast.net/~vsengineering/track.htm).
Car is probably not the cleanest, most polished or waxed on this board. Hey, I didn't even wash the car from last event in Nov 2005! But the car is damn happy to have finished one 30min session and two 60min sessions. Can't you see the grin in the picture below? :P

See which other car was there as well.

Wow man.
I said it again and I will say it again, AMAZING. So many track events with this engine and blower and still drive a daily driver is just amazing. Shows how good our
little 2.5l are and the quality of the compressor.
Keep it up.
How many miles on engine, and how many of those are with the blower?
Thanks.

Yeah, the 2.5L has always been the underdog. LoL!
28k miles total. About 6k miles are track miles. The rest are accumulated from trips to/back the track etc.
Wow man.

The TMS 325 actually belongs to my best friend.....such a sweet car. I was actually telling him to look out for you since you have become such a legend as for as track junkies go, and your car is pretty damn sweet.....hope to see you at a track day some time soon......

malakia12: Thanks for reading as always!
vaio76109: Yeah street race... Btw saw a quote the other day. Drag race is for fast cars. AutoX is for fast drivers. Where do road track junkies fall into?:dunno:
bmwcase: I am off to a couple of events in Feb. Next time introduce yourself at BW. :) I am usually occupying one of the garages. I wouldn't dare to compete myself with the race car. I think he cranked up around 2:05 around the track in that config. This is a clear example of having similar hp/torque and mine not doing much. That car is clearly better tuned in terms of suspension and much lighter too (650lbs less than mine), not to mention the driver has more experiences.

I will definitley make a point of saying hi to everyone....I think his best time has a 2:02 with someone in the car, right now its set up for Laguna Seca because thats where we were racing a couple weeks ago (in the rain). Its actually quite surprising how fast that car is, we're hoping to do some endurance races in the future since they have become pretty close to Justin Marks and the whole TMS crew in general, so that will definitley be something to look forward to

Road track is for all of the above. :P
Glad to see you had a good time, Vince. I'll hopefully be joining you at BW once I get a CCA school or HPDE there under my belt.

Hey Vince....what was your time on sunday with ccw configuration #25.
I was there but was running in advanced group so maybe I missed you; sorry i didnt stop by.
Next time we can chat...........or I see you at the track....my coupe is pure track car. I will be at streets this sunday and feb at willow with nasa tt class and march at cali with redline.
The best feeling was passing sti and nsx and corvettes in the straightways and coming out of the star mazda turn!!!!!!

thanx for the link Vince..got the same gearbox as you i think.from what i've read so far,the torque limit at the axle is 325Nm and the torque that we're pushing will be around that figure as well.
seeing that u've had no problems,i think the stepbox can actually take a bit more..have u done anything to it to beef it up? torque converter? oil cooler? software?
damn..i just can't shake off my worries..wish i had the GM ones(higher torque rating @ 360Nm).

Dood...you should really spend time to read every report I wrote. All of your questions are answered there.
i think the stepbox can actually take a bit more..
I seriously doubt so. Read my reports why.
have u done anything to it to beef it up? torque converter? oil cooler? software?
OE torque converter. Yes, engine oil cooler. Yes, s/w. For other details, please visit the blog.

Franky, I don't know what's the envy with GM transmissions. Maybe the newer ones are better but who's really tracking a SC car to push it? Alpina uses 5HP19, not GM transmission, for their B3S.

Until someone tracks a SC car with that, I am not buying that GM transmission is stronger. Alpina uses 5HP19, not GM transmission, for their B3S.
