trying to get shift nob off e36 m3 stick

has anyone done this? im trying to get my shift nob off my m3. the mantince guide says to yank up really hard but it doesnt seem to move at all. maby im doing it rong but if anyone can help that would be awsome. thanks guys

that's the same way they come off the e46; BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUNCH YOURSELF IN THE FACE! many fanatics have - black eyes, bloody noses...not pretty... :yikes:

yea there have been broken noses, broken rear view mirrors, and more.

give it one hard pull and it should come off... i ALMOST punched myself in the face; just be careful

Motorcycle full face helmet. Some work gloves and get in the back seat with the shifter in 2nd or 4th. Pull like hell and it will come off. :thumbup:
