View Full Version : Which Upgrade To Do first???
Hi all,
I'm new to this site and also a new owner of an '03 318ti. I've been enjoying driving the car around for about a month now and i think it's time for me to make some changes to the car. Look i don't know jack **** about cars so i guess that's why i'm here. For the looks department that's personal choice so i can managed that myself but a little more power that's what i want. Ok so what's the best first move i can do so i can feel the difference?

Intake, exhaust, and shark injector.
and that order seems about right.. although you can probably go exhaust first, then intake
thanks guys.... and....
1. "shark injector"..i did some research on the net and it says that it's only for US models only... what's the alternative for aussie cars?
2. any recommendations for which make and type of exhaust and intake for my 318ti?

exhaust and intake.. you'l probably find the UUC TSE3 exhaust and the ECIS CAI quite popular on the board.. you'l just have to get them shipped over from the states!
and have no fkn idea about shark injectors :P

I have a Remus exhaust on my E46 and am very happy with it. It is just the rear muffler can so it wont make any noticable power difference but will sounds much nicer. Intake can make more of a power difference but you are gonna want to be careful as to which one you buy. There arent many for 4cylinder BMWs though becase they all come out of the USA where the base model is a 325. Soooo your best bet for an intake would probably be to have a custom one made by a local shop. I cant say there would be much point in spending too much money on making the car go fast... if you want more speed you are better to save the money up and buy an E46 with a bigger engine.
yeah i think no point spending too much money on the 4 cyl models to get the power i want. i think it'd be too dear to import from the states. hey by the way your car looks very nice scott. what size mags, wheels etc??
by the way i'm from the south side in brisbane and if you guys or know of anyone who are looking for a top estate agent to sell your houses etc and can get the job done then give me a call. we can discuss strategies to maximise your selling price.
