quick question about ICE

hey guys..just wondering what you would recommend. I like alpine and i wanna stay with it..so i wanna buy 2 alpine type R 12" subs. These subs are 500rms max. i would also like to power them with an alpine amp. the MRD-605 gives out 600 rms at 1x2 0hms ...or 400 rms at 4 ohms. the mrd-1005 gives out 1000 rms x 1 channel. I was wondering what would be best to power these subs. should i get 2 mrd-605's...or 1 mrd-1005. i was under the impression that you shouldnt max out a sub..so 500x2 with a mrd-1005 would be maxing the subs out right? also which 0hm levell should i get ...2ohms or 4ohms. please let me know

hey man i would def go with the mrd 1005 and get 2 (dual2 ohm subs) so when you wire them to 2 ohms you will be running the perfect 1000 rms for the subs.

Go with the bigger amp. As long as the amplifier is properly adjusted, you shouldn't have any issues.

thanks guys..so when i wire the subs to the amp do i go from sub1 to amp and sub2 to amp..or do i go sub 1 to sub 2..sub 2 to amp?

Go to the website on my sig. Look for the page on how to wire speakers/subs. It has all the information you need, including wiring diagrams.
