awesome! thanks - def. need to stock up on mf applicator pads.

hmmmm i'm tempted to try a new polish ... over the years, I've collected quiet a few - now the very expensive ones are left.

Can you be more specific. Waxing, washing, drying, interior, wheels etc. If you give me specifics on what you want to do I can put a basic package together for you.

I just have to say that Brett is amazingly fast on the shipping. I placed an order Sunday night, and it hit my door yesterday afternoon complete, and packed very well.

Combine this with the insane 15% discounted prices, and the fact that he's such a nice, helpful member of our community, and OCD Garage garners my highest recommendation!

If only Brett carried books, or if Amazon shipped as fast, life would be grand. . .

(BTW, Brett is cheaper than Amazon, or anyone else, on that Porter Cable 7424. . . impressive):boink:

Thanks again!

I used one for the first time a few weeks ago to apply the polish etc., very easy, the detail was amazing.

I'd say it's almost fool proof.

Hey Mark,

You should invest in a good synthetic sealant wax like Menzerna's FMJ or Klasse Sealant. The P21S carnuaba wax won't last you very long in the South Florida sun. You'll get a week or so out of it at most.

Thanks!
Clay bar removes contaminates (sp) from the cars' paint surface. Rub your hand over your hood (lightly) and feel how rough it is. The clay bar will reduce the roughness and bring back the smooth finish.

Talk with Brett @ OCD Garage. He will get you a starter pack and treat you right.

BTW I have a Jet Black car so I know your woes...

nice! i was wondering though, whats the difference between the p21s high performance wheel cleaner pump spray kit, and the p21s gel wheel cleaner pump spray kit? which one is better\tougher on brake pad dust? thanks in advance :)

OCDGarage
05-21-2006, 08:45 PM
The P21S Gel is a little stronger and because it is a gel it stays active/wet longer. It clings to the all surfaces and does not run down the spokes and dry as quickly as the High Performance Wheel Cleaner.

also, can i just use any kind of wax from you to protect my hood from rock chips, or is there a certain kind you would recommend?

I am in Rockland County across from Westchester. I am also in the North Jersey area a lot. I could always meet you in North Jersey in the evenings.

As for the wax there is no wax that will protect the hood from rock chips. If the hood is clayed and polished and then protected with a good wax you can reduce the chipping a little. By creating a smoother more slick surface the stone has more of a tendency to deflect rather than catch (because of friction) and cause a chip. On the flat forward facing nose area there is not much you can do other than cover with a clear film. I can still make a suggestion for a wax but I don't want you to have an expectation that can't really be met.
