I own a steptronic 2000 323i that I love dearly. Still looks great, and runs like new. Not interested in the whole insurance investment of owning an E46 M3, so I've decided on supercharging my 323i with 80k on the clock. My warranty is gone now anyhow, so I figured what the hell. I am planning on going with a VF supercharger since they only boost at 6psi. I figure its safer for the tranny as well. Any thoughts on supercharging at 80k? Is the VF a smarter choice for reliability? Either way, just curious to get some thoughts...good or bad, before I invest the time and money. Thanks.

Kinda expected that one...like always. I live in San Diego and sit still for 90% of my commute. Used to drive a manual Nissan. Not interested in going through that again.
Anyone with a constructive opinion?

Do it!
SC are alot easier on the engines that turbos.
Also 80k on BMW engine is nothing

autoo isnt that bad just make sure they tune it right cause my frind did it with an AA superchrger and the trannt kept slipping till they tuned it.
the engine wont die if thats what ur worried about but it will speed up the process of other components going bad
i have 120 milles on my car and the engine drives as new. i even dynoed it/no loss still running strong

Yeah I'm thinking of just making the trek up to OC and having VF install and tune it, etc. Thanks for the advice.

Marvel, the guy who does my330i.com had a lot of miles on his car (over 120+ i think) and he says the new owner rips the sc pretty hard and she holds up perfectly.
