My First Encounter and kill Supercharged.

My Ride: 2004 BMW 330 CI (Steptronic)-ESS SC and UUC TSE3

The Victim: 2004 Infinity G35 Sedan-CAI and Greddy Exhaust

Hey I thought I would post this kill as a good reference for the difference the ESS SC kit made on my car.

The G35 belongs to my neighbor. We had run one time before when I had an ECIS CAI and TSE3 Exhaust. He took me out that time. His car seems to be either geared better or has a better throttle response than mine and he had me from the jump all the way to about 80 MPH and was about 2 cars ahead of me. I was using Manual Mode and had the AC off.

Yesterday I ran into him at a stop light and we knew it was on. Again, he had the jump on me, but only for a really short time. I started pulling really hard on him somewhere in second gear. We stopped when I was about 3 or 4 car lengths ahead and when I looked down, we were pushing 90 MPH. Afterwards he told me that I was pulling on him before his car shifted to 2nd. I was in normal Drive mode with the AC running.

I know it was not a G35 Coupe and that he was also an auto tranny, but I really got him good.

Yes. Auto to auto..but I lost. I think they have more HP (260 or 270?)..but are a bit heavier.

The extra half liter of displacement gives the G35 a big edge in torque (260 vs 214) and hp (260 vs 225) over the 330ci. That more than makes up for the extra 100 lbs of weight. The extra torque is why he takes you off the line, even now with the SC - the centrifugal doesn't add much in the lower rpm range. Of course, when it's doing its thing.... :thumbup:
