do u just stick these over ur old ones? or do u remove the old ones and put these on? how do u remove the old ones?

bimmerblvd

We stuck it over the stock one on the steering wheel just in case we wanted to remove it.

ok so if i want to take these off later how do i take em off?

bimmerblvd
04-21-2006, 08:46 PM
You can also take off the Oem Roundel and replace it with ours (that is what we did). So if later you want it back to stock, you can just take off our Roundel and put back the OEm one.

The OEM Emblem has tabs which insert into holes in the steering wheel. Would these be able to cover the tab insert holes on the steering wheel? I know that the overlay emblems are not exactly large enough and leave the holes exposed if they are used to replace the OEM emblem.

///M3wid19z

Also once the OEM emblem is removed, it can't be reinserted because the tabs start to bend and break when trying to fit it back in to the holes.

Do you have another tracking number? This is all that the tracking number you provided me tells me (see below). I can't see that is has been shipped. I haven't received the carbon fiber steering wheel emblem that I paid you for on May 3, 2006. Please either ship it to me or refund my money. Thank you.

Thanks man. I just want that little round sticker. Product looks great (on the webpage) and price is awesome. If that's not possible then send the money back and I'll go elsewhere.

Bimmer Blvd's proposed solution is for him to spend more time calling USPS to find my package or I send him another $5 and he'll send another emblem. That's over one third of the original purchase + shipping price.

I ordered/paid on May 3rd. It's now the evening of May 26th.

If the situation were reversed and I received the product but somehow my money turned out to be bad I highly doubt there'd be this much patience shown, and I highly doubt that an acceptable solution would be for me to say, "knock five bucks off the price and I'll pay you."

What do you all think?

It's not the money...hell, what's $20? It's the principle.

you are right, the USPS tracking WILL NOT show anything but reciept of shipping info an delivery. unless it is express mail it is not really tracking, it is just confirmation. SINCE it has not been recieved, it is clear you did no get it and are lying cuz it would show in the tracking page, they have no proof it actually shipped, they need to send you a new one free of charge, i would be PISSED if it took that long.

bimmer07
05-28-2006, 02:33 AM
You should call them up and if they don't at least give it to you for free that's pretty bad since it's just about been a month...I got my angel eyes that were suppose to have a free remote kit though I don't see any evidence of one but I'm not so sure since the only install resources were from other vendors.

nearly one month from date of order/payment and no product. Now bimmerblvd won't even communicate with me. All I ask for is the product or a refund.

I'd think twice before ordering anything from bimmerblvd.

Dahne,

We have personally contacted the USPS several times in regards to this matter. They've basically told us that the situation is being looked into.
They took my number and said that they would contact us with any new details. I have yet to hear any response from them. They have verified that the package was dropped off at the local post office and scanned into their system. In order to expedite this situation, we are willing to send you a replacement item, if you are willing to pay for shipping. We understand your frustration and apologize for the inconveniences you***8217;ve experienced. Please be aware that we were working to resolve this situation, and were providing all updates in real time. Working with the USPS can be quite frustrating. If you agree to these terms, please send a payment in the amount of $4.00 to paypal@bimmerboulevard.com. We will ship these out ASAP (with tracking information). We also hope that the rare and unfortunate circumstance surrounding this situation doesn***8217;t affect our current relationship. If you decide to purchase from BimmerBoulevard in the future, please contact us before doing so. We will be sure to provide you with a percentage discount or complimentary gift. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us.

It is June 5th, over one month since I placed an order with you and paid in full for the steering wheel emblem + shipping. Please fulfill your obligation and send me the product. I do not feel that I should have to send you additional funds for this. Please let me know if you are going to send the product that I paid for on May 3.

According to you, the product has been lost in shipping. From my perspective, I am out $15 and have nothing to show for it. Why would I send you another $4.00? Have you ever heard the phrase "throwing good money after bad?" Rather than accept responsibility for poor shipping methods, you are passing the buck onto the United State Postal Service, which leaves me, the customer, screwed.

I will check back on this public forum tomorrow and I hope to see your favorable reply. I sincerely believe that an overwhelming majority of E46Fanatics members would agree with my position if/when I solicit feedback from the forum members. The strength of a web-based business like yours lies in the public perception of good business practices. NO ONE likes to send money to a vendor and not receive the product. I intend to populate each and every sales thread you have with an account of this situation. For me it's just a couple copy & paste clicks. For you it's an entire audience that will just take their business elsewhere. You decide if it's worth 4 bucks to you.

Thank you,
Bill

Trying to save money by shipping USPS vs. UPS ground. Penny wise, pound foolish. Look at all the ill will. It's my personal policy to NEVER order anything from a company that ships USPS for this very reason.

That's good advice that I will also observe from now on. Thankfully I hadn't ordered one of bimmerblvd's more expensive pieces of merchandise that he's selling on this forum.

H/o... You say they are not overlays or decals, but you have to use 3M tape to apply them over the roundels?...

yeah, that is definately a contradiction.

If you're talking about the steering wheel emblem, it's just a little metallic, convex disc with clear 3M adhesive on the back. Peel off the white 3M plastic covering the adhesive and just stick it right on top of the stock roundel. Looks fine. I might try popping off the original roundel to see if it looks any better but the truth is that it looks fine as an overlay.
