Light Color Choices
X-Tec offers a range of HID kits in kelvin ratings of 5000k to 8000k. The 5000k kit will emit a bright white light very similar to the stock BMW xenon systems. The 6000k kit has a nice tint of blue in the light for a "cooler" look. Now the 8000k kit will emit a very blue light. Note that the 5000K kit produces the most light for any application. As you increase your Kelvin rating the color of the light changes, but the amount of light produced is slightly reduced. However, even the 8000K bulbs produce 2-3 times the light an OEM halogen bulb will produce. We stock all three of these kits.
