I want a stand alone scan tool that can reset the lambda adaptation (Fuel trim), plus do the other usual items: clear CEL, read fault codes, etc.
I've seen this tool previously recommended on this forum: http://www.sterntech.com/obdii.php
Are there any others I should consider?

OK, I found out the Sterntech scanner cannot reset the lambda adaptation. Does anybody know a scan tool that can?

Scan tools will not reset anything. It scans for error codes... some scan tools also have a reset feature but it will only clear the error codes. You will spend alot of $$ to get a tool to do what you want it to do.
Carsoft can reset both adaptations in these cars.

Got mine a lot cheaper than retail price though.
