is there any turbochargers for the e46 cars? more specifically the m3? i know the one of da-motorsport but is tat the only company tat does tat? is there a reason why they dont make turbos? and last but not least, why are superchargers more common than turbos in bimmers..?

DA-Motorsport doesn't have a turbo kit. They have a bunch of parts for a turbo kit. If you read the thread by Hung, he was missing so many parts and instructions, he just took all of the "turbo kit" off and went back to stock.

PROPER tuning of BMWs is not an easy task. Yeah you can bolt up some parts and run a low boost, but I'd be afraid of what the AFR looks like at the upper RPM ranges. Not to mention a low boost turbo probably only adds like 40-50 hp, big deal.

Horsepower Freaks (withTechnik doing the software tuning) is working on some kits, I dunno if they have a 330 version done yet, I know their focusing on the M3 at the moment.

So yeah, the reason you see supercharged cars is because tuning the software and getting the components to work is easier than with a turbo. Plus with a supercharger the car retains the same feel as stock albeit with more power.

^It's a boser hood done in an M3 style (has the power dome thingie in the middle).
