After reading about Technik Engineering's new revised kit's parts. I opted to upgrade away from the accordian hose to all silcone hoses. This silcone hose was the Samco 45 Degree Elbow with a 2.75" Bore.

Let me just say this silcone hose install is a b!tch to do without removing the entire headlight. I did it without removing the headlight because I didn't want to damage my headlight washers. It took about 3 hours to do this. I need to find me the DIY to remove the front headlight with headlight washers. The kit does look a lot better without those accordion hoses. The flow is probably improved too, but I can't say for sure.

Just a FYI, the intake filter column is raised about one inch too.

nice find. half of what technik wants for it too.

i feel your pain about the headlight washers. my drivers side bottom eyelid is about to break (most likely next time i take it off) if it happens im getting new ones from bmw and im gonna try to get fiberdesigns to wrap them in cf. then ill just remove all the headlight washer crap and clamp the hoses off

i HATE those things. worst invention yet to make it onto a bmw :thumbdwn:
charlie i may pm you if you have a secret about removing them or something. i usually just grabahold and riiiiiiiip.

I just noticed, what are these hoses/tubes here? I don't have anything like that (at least I don't remember) on my Technik kit. :dunno:

And Brian, what's that second clamp half way down the tube doing there? Is that where the fliter meets the intake tube?

Nice man... I will be doing that if it doesn't come already on my Technik Stg IV.

nice! I've been trying to figure out which samco hose to use to replace the intake flex tube.

Just to clear things up...

If you want to replace the intake 90 degree elbow behind the compressor with a Samco silicone elbow, then this is the one you will need (same one I am using).

If you want to replace the lower intake 45 degree elbow like the one on this post with a Samco silicone elbow, then this the one you will need (same one I am using).

SportHoses is an authorized Samco NA Distributor, so buy with confidence. :) However, they stock more 45 degree elbows then 90 degree elbows and they stock the traditional Samco blue hose more than any other color.

I don't do anything. LOL. I just do a periodic upkeep of the engine. After every car wash, I vacuum and clean the engine bay with a damped cloth. If you do it periodically it doesn't look so bad after four years. :D

It is my 200 shot NX Express kit. :eeps: jk. Yea, it is the Technik Oil Cooler oil lines going into the oil filter housing.

Your getting the revised TM17 with new piping and everything. I am sure Samir will update your kit with their new oil return line fitting, hoses, and what not. So many new parts from this round of revisions, I can't even keep track.

It is relocated just like your ESS kit. Except mines has been relocated to behind my front bumper reinforcement bar, whereas your's is right next to the ASA compressor.
