I got mine imported from Germany by Naza.

What about you guys? Just doing a survey to see whether there's a big price difference between different dealers.

We pay way too much for our car, for what we pay we should be driving m3's and k3vkoh you should be driving a ferrari for what you pay

RM500,000 is about right as in 2004, the 530I was going for about 480k. a fully decked out 330cic should be about 500k based on relative UK prices.....did yours come with the all the options? What i found was sometimes, 2 people would pay the same price for the same model but 1 would be basic specs and the other could be fully loaded.......

Yeah RM500k, the car comes fully loaded, maybe those gear cost about RM50k =.= What Naza told me, it is the 1st facelifted 330Ci imported into Malaysia, dunno real or not..maybe some sort of marketing strategy..Haha! Here is some pic of my car, took long time ago...Currently planning some cosmetic modification, in the process of finding parts:)

I wan to come out and meet u guys ler, but my car is at Sabah :bawling:

However, RM500k can get much better car in the US, thats what I hate about Malaysian automotive industry, 300% tax?! F*ck the government. Thanks to our Proton and Perodua, still need protection till when? Won't grow up and get some balls to compete with foreign cars? LOL

Bl**dy hell....thats a damn sweet ride......

So here's an interesting fact.... C**trade (ever since losing its franchise for BMW) is selling (and this is confirmed) new-straight-from-the-factory 2004-fully-loaded (with sat nav etc)-M3 for......wait for it.....RM530k! Well, that's the lowest they'll go but the "opening price" is RM550k. The downside? Warranty is 2 years but with ALOT of exceptions.

Goverment tax + dealers profit + drool factor = nosebleed prices for foreign cars.

Which reminds me, Karate/ Kyron etc, got scanner? I looked at the AP for the car and the freaking "landed value" is..... get this..:shhh: ... RM85k. F**king hell boy, even with the 300% tax the car is "valued" at RM340. How much freaking :censor: profit is the dealer making from the sale??!!!!! :ben:

Dude....exchange rate for Malaysian Ringgit (local currency) to USD
is RM3.2=UDS1

Do the math on the "cost" of a BMW...... :lmao:

Oh, and the average GDP per household in Malaysia is..... get this...... RM2,500 per month which works out to USD781.25 per month!

Fooling about, be it cosmetic or "more power" isnt a "cheap" hobby....

But hey.... we do what we can and there are some really sweet-sweet-sweetie rides out there.....

pope if you want to know the counting of duties and taxes is not only just 300% there is also other costs incurred ie frieght, warehouse, insurance etc.
if the value is 85k it is fair for them to sell at 500+k, musn't forget they have their margin too. I doubt that C**trade is making so much money like that if not they wouldn't doing so bad.

If anybody needs clarification on their AP's or anything like that PM me as i am in the shipping industry. How much is the value of my car on the AP? 2500pounds sterling.. confirm hanky panky going on.. my importer is manupilating invoice from UK to pay lower duties and taxes

Yikes...... sorry bLy....wasnt trying to say anyting at all. There are a fair number of non-malaysian members who read these threads too, so am merely pointing out the exchange rate and the "relative" nature of the mod scene in Malaysia.... thats all. Apologies of it got misconstrued.... Next time youre in Malaysia, will buy you a beer (or root beer if thats the preference)..... :-)

popeadrian: lol no harm done dude... i just wasn't sure what you were trying to tell me that's all.. it's just that even if you're talking about converting ringgit to US or Aussie Dollars it doesn't matter cos you earn ringgit and u spend ringgit right?..if u know what i mean. anyways i will take a rain check on that beer:thumbup:

You know what? There's even worst, I know I shouldn't be talking about this...but hell, who cares? My other car, a 03' MB SL350, priced at RM1,400,000...I got it brand new for RM700,000, which is exactly half-price, as a special deal from the dealer. That shows how much the price of foreign car is marked-up, they can reduce it to half price and still earn from it (Considering the fact that dealer won't sell at a lost, or will they?!)
