The new Predator Xenix has arrived.
While some of you will immediately notice the new handsome packaging, what you won't see is:

1) More densely packed xenon (found a good supplier)
2) Just like the PIAA bulbs you see on the store shelves for more $$$, but for less.
3) Available in many applications - H7, 9006, H1, H11 (most of the BMW applications)

Did we mention the nice packaging? The old Vizu were repackaged bulbs from Au-Lite in China, these are no longer from that factory and we've been sending them out for the last few months before we fully committed to these.

These are very reliable and have an industry best warranty.

what's the whole H1, H7, H11, etc..? are those the fitment for the different models? which will fit the e46 coupe?

also, what's the difference between the H's and the 9000s?

umnitza

H7 is generally for both high and low beams for halogen headlights.
H11 is generally for fogs on a E46 sedan 99-01 ish and for E90s.
H1 is for E36s with Euro Lights, E38s.
9006 is for fogs for all M3s.

For the H7, in terms of light output, how do they compare to stock? Are they brighter? As much as I would like the white light, I don't want to give away functionality!

i just put em on my E39 they are slightly bluier, not as blue as i wouldve hoped but still not bad, great for the price

Is there any problem running the 9006 bulbs for extended periods of time?

Why do some sets come in 55W and some come in 100W. I have one set of 55W H7 (marked on the bulb) and one set of 100W H7 (also marked on the bulb), both xenix (both PACKAGES are the same and are marked H7 100W Superwhite with a white label on the back). The color is clearly whiter in the 100W. Why aren't they the same?

If we get a 100W from you, can you replace it for 55W to ensure that they will not burn up (i.e. for 9006 fog lights bulbs that are being used for looks with low beams during the day/night).

Thanks...

umnitza

One important note, we've not tested the 100W bulbs beyond 30 minutes on E46 headlights. At 30 minutes there were no issues.

One thing to note, these bulbs have an oily film on them at factory production. It's important to turn them on for 8 minutes (or a little more) to get them properly burned in. Then you will enjoy very happy hours of operation.

Compared to stock xenons, is there a big difference?

umnitza
01-26-2007, 11:15 PM
they aren't designed to supplant xenons, they are just a good color match.

Ok... but the underlying question was:

Why are all the packages marked 100W when some of the bulbs are 55W and some are 100W... Shouldn't the customer have the option and not just be surprised to find which one it is?

umnitza
01-29-2007, 12:52 AM
All the boxes are 100W at this time.

OptimusPrime
01-29-2007, 09:19 AM
Where can we get a set of 55W then. Those of us that want to color match our fogs and actually use them would want 55W. Could you pm me the distributed you used to use for the 55W?

Thanks.

umnitza
01-29-2007, 11:25 AM
We aren't going to offer them in 55W, the lowest (our next batch) will be 80W.

55W is dimmer (when using a filtered bulb like these) output than stock (even though it looks better).

80W is better output than stock 55W bulbs and keeps people from being afraid.
