Fs: Toshiba Laptop $500

this laptop was used for 2 weeks until it crashed. unfortunately it was purchased with no warranty and i dont want to go through any trouble fixing it. the system starts up but the screen is just black with a flashing dash at the top left. i took it to FRYs electronics and they said it might need a new harddrive but i havent tried installing one because i dont plan on keeping this.

just go through the manufacturer's 1 year warranty... they will fix it no problem and then at least u can get a bigger return, or decide to keep it

if its bouncing in the top corner it means the HD is corrupt and it can't read it

get a new HD - or just boot off a cd

Imma make a few calls about this tomorrow, did you send the warranty information in when you bought it? Do you still have everything (manuals, cd's,etc) that came with the computer new?
