I had taken my m3 front bumper to get painted that i bought from a sponsor here to a shop called Vinnies Auto Body in 112-16 101st Ave in South Richmond Hill, NY which is in Queens.

anyway the shop did a shitty ass job painting it.
the paint job was $300 and wanted an additional $125 to put the bumper on, i figured i would put the bumper on myself.

anyway, the shop did not properly sand the bumper down to smooth it out, since it is a replica bumper there are grooves that you can see where the bumper was joined together when it was made which could have been easily fixed by a good shop.

i installed the bumper no problem, but after 1 day the paint started to peel, it was not exposed to rain or anything but just started to peel. upon looking at the paint, you can see that there was no more then 1 decent coat of paint and i could see no trace of primer either.

i took it back to him really pissed off and asked him nicely to take a look and he blamed it entirely on me, said that i should have let him install it. i clearly showed him that the paint was not peeling as a result of the installation but as a result of poor painting skills. he got mad that i said his paint job sucked and started giving me BS saying how he was in the business for 30 years yadda yadda, my poor negligence during installation, its my fault and he continued.

i was almost ready to punch him in the face, but i do somewhat believe in kharma and he deserves any **** that happens to him.

anyway, end rant.
just letting you guys know that if you ever decide to get a paintjob and live around the area, avoid him at all costs.

i had some guy paint my acs roof and trunk spoiler 2 months ago and the guy took about a month to paint them and the day i went to go in to tell him he was taking to long he dad told me he had painted them but it fell on the floor by mistake and there where chips everywhere so i told him he better take care of it and he told me to come back 3 days after and to my surprise it still sucked. He didnt sand it and you could see all the grooves and theres blemishes and touchups all over the place. he wanted 250 ended up given him 200, plus he installed it. :) dont think im goin back there again tho
