depends what 3er. mileage is always low in comparison to Europe & North America, condition is relatively better too. check www.28car.com & www.car8.com for local vehicles on sale. Brand new 2000 E46 M3 costed 800'000HKD, right now a 2001 E46 M3 stock is still in the mid to high 400'000HKD for the cheapest one. don't know if crashed or not

what model benz can you buy with that? 100k US.

wouldnt it be cheaper just to buy M3 in states/Europe and ship it over?

only RHD vehicles can be registered. vehicle registered must be taxed. LHD can be driven, but cannot be registered and can only be driven with something called a "T-Plate" which costs 10'000HKD/year, but your car is pretty much not insured. 10'000HKD or licence fee is pretty expensive in comparison to normal licence fee/year is to the max 1'000HKD-3'000HKD depends on your driving insurance points and records.

lately 2001 E46 M3 20'000KM accident free with lite tune is about 450'000HKD.

you want MB? www.mercedes-benz.com.hk
with 800'000HKD depends you want brand new or 2nd hand

BTW you dont' necessarily need to purchase from the stealer. there are a lot of grey imports and if you want to modify your vehicle i suggest you to purchase grey import becuase stealer is really expensive.

depends on what year. i suggest you to purchase 2nd hand because usually tehre are a lot of people who like to purchase new cars and then try them out and then sell them for cheaper. gas prices are expensive. but it will be OK if you are willing to give 150USD/tank for every 4-6 days for a CLS500

hmm... there's absolutely no reason why you need a car in HK... the public transport system there is unbelievable, there are bus, mini bus, trains, MTR, taxis everywhere. but cars are a symbol of wealth and a measure of succcess in HK, therefore you see MANY MANY nice cars in hk. Benz and BMW are like everywhere on the street, and you often see exotic cars like Ferrari, and Lambos as well.

But then its good to get a car for your mum, somewhat more convenience.

i agree, MTR is great in HK except when partying past 12am, then have to walk/taxi back ahaha...

but for my situation... single mom successfully raising two kids while immigrating to the US with ZERO english. after 20+ years of rasing my dumb ass, she definitely deserves it.

housing in HK is not that cheap either :banghead:

is their still street racing at night?

that place is nice. if you don't need to live inside the city center then there are a lot of places that are a lot cheaper. you have to be there for a walk to understand. don't follow those stupid tour groups that only brings you shopping for LV and Gucci ****. HK is almost as safe as singapore, during the day the government enforces laws, during the night time the traids enforces the laws, every human being no matter you're white black brown asian or an alien can be a potential customer there is absolutely near to zero robbery as long as you're at a place with other people!
