I recently bought an 01 330i with a VF Engineering Supercharger system. It incorporates a vortech supercharger. I live in Wisconsin where it gets very cold...-15 or colder at times. I need to know what I need to do to keep this car driveable in the colder months? I have heard that immediate catastrophic supercharger failure can occur in temps below 25 degrees. My car will be subject to cold starts quite often! Please lend any info... Thanks

Cold weather is a superchargers best friend  . As for driveability, I wouldn't punch it in the snow :lmao: . I doubt the traction control/DSC can keep up with the RWHP. I also run Mobil Synthetic 0W40 to stay thin enough in very cold conditions. Have you ever watch an oil temp gauge on a cold car?? It can sometimes take 10-15 minutes for the oil to get up to temp, therefore, be easy on the engine until the oil warms up. YMMV.
