Announcing an update to the most popular angel eyes series ever.

Because unlike most other retailers/manufacturers are not "on the street" and doing day to day work with their products, we are there, day to day, installing, supporting, and getting instantaneous feedback from not only our own installs, but from our vast network of installers.

We continue to improve the products to your satisfaction.

We recently discovered the some customers that had installed the E46 Xenon Headlights with Predator Chromium had clips that wouldn't stay in place if installed inproperly.

While the fix for this was very simply to take the rings out and drop a tiny bit of silicon in there to fix it semi-permanently, we wanted new customers to have an improvement.

Now, the Predator Chromium comes with heat-sunk clips and chrome backing for extra strength.

Thanks for all the wonderful support, without which, we'd never continue to develop our products - even though they are already the best - to make them better.

Does this affect the facelifted coupe's Predator Chromium?

umnitza
08-05-2006, 01:18 AM
We are working on that one as well, we so far aren't entirely happy with the 2004 version, so we have another version we're doing to release.

The clips coming loose....is this an issue that affects all e46's (halogen,
bi-xenon, etc) or just xenons only?

From what I know when I installed mine the only problem was on the bi-xenons, I don't belive the other ones have the problem except MAYBE the single xenons...and heck its not too bad mine stay on there with 3/4 of the clips lol

Sounds good:thumbup:

No, that is an issue with bixenon lights on very very very few cases, usually due to an installation miscue.

Now, even if there is a miscue, there will be no problem.

The clipping system remains removable, it's just more difficult for the average person.

damn I wish this came out sooner. Then I wouldn't have had to go through the headaches of trying to install them. Mine never stayed on and no one on the forum believed me when I said so. I ended up having to grind out the trim, and use silicon to hold the rings in place. Part of the xenon headlight is scratched a lil on each side too now. You can't tell from far away but up close you can.

How much would it be to upgrade to the new rings? Just in case mine come off again

umnitza

.see below

umnitza
08-06-2006, 02:47 PM
If you put a little silicon in there, you are likely fine.

If you want to discuss your specific case, please email us. We don't really have an upgrade for just the rings in mind, but if enough people demand it, we'll probably setup some sort of program.

mine looks like that picture right above here..
makes it look like there's two rings there.

Not sure what you mean by reflection, it's a 270 degree setup so there will be some light escaping the sides of the ring.

We have a retrofit - aka upgrade.
However, if you have that issue, it's likely that you didn't get a copy of the new DIY by KEVIN on our site, it really helps with the install.

Just received my predator chromium today but wireless feature (costs extra bucks) and installation manual(which also may describe contents of package) were missing. Inquired about them and promtly received reply saying wireless feature is out of stock until early Dec and that I can get manuals from web.
1. Would have been much nicer if I had been informed of late shippment of wireless feature in advance.
2. I know I can probably pull up installation manual from web. But my printer kinda sucks and I might have to print separate pages rather than one big manual. Also, if the manual should have been included but was missing, I believe I would've been happier to hear "sorry, will send you the manual" rather than "Install resources are on the web site:) "

Question: How do I check I got right "K?"
I ordered 6000k Standard.

umnitza
11-07-2006, 08:15 PM
Sounds like your printer and our printer are friends:)

If you need any PDF file we can do that via email as well.
My guys - while we were at SEMA (1/2 of us) - substituted to make sure you could install anyways:)

stjoons
11-07-2006, 09:23 PM
If there is not a physical form of manual, I will be ok to just use your web
Questions unanswered

1. I still don know what "K" my angel eyes are ( as I have no paper/instruction what-so-ever)/ or if I have other parts missing

2. I don't know whether I should wait for wireless kit for a installation (which means I should have purchased them when you were ready to ship) or install what I have first anyway

Ican guess, but not for sure which is refering to which one of what I have!!

Can you plz answer my 2 unanswered questions?
1.how I can check I have the right K?

Just taking precaution to avoid ending up installing wrong K right after I install them.
(I ordered 6000K)

2. Should I/ don't need to wait for the wireless feature before installing?
will it be a simple add-on job?

umnitza

Wire color is how we differentiate colors of kit. Wires off the rings only.

You do not need to wait for wireless prior to install, you can proceed and the wireless can be substituted at a later date or even a refund issued if you like the wired setup.

I get that you differentiate kit by colors of wire off the rings. So what color's what (mine is white)? Fed up with asking questions only to hear answers that mean nothing. Come on guys!!!

Perhaps it's best to contact us directly. Please don't be frustrated.
We don't give away certain trade secrets and while for some a simple wire color is no big deal, for us it represents how we different our real product with knock-offs. Please email us privately.

The wireless is a switched RF transmitter and receiver. It's nice but not 100% perfect at this time.

Not clear on how to turn these light on, i read that you have a adapter plugged into the cigarette lighter. is that correct or can I plug it directly into the wires of my fogs and run it that way? I would idealy want to run the wires into my Fog lamp power so I can just run the angels whenever I would like. Also I expect to be able to turn on view the fog light button on the car... is that possible?

umnitza

You can get an adapter plug into the glove box - BMW sells this - so it's a plug inside the glove box that you would never see:)

Having waiting almost 9 days, I've not had a chance to thank the masses for their orders.

I'll just say that we have had over 63 (as of this morning) sales for Predator Chromium since then and you all know who you are:)

I think its great that you are having lots of orders, but I am quite upset that it has been nearly a month since I ordered my Predator Chromiums for my facelift coupe and still no package. I've gone through several of your correspondances with Mike and you have made 3 claims for time of delivery that have all passed. Supposedly a second set was sent as well and still nothing. I hope that this is just a fluke. USPS has no record of even receiving the package from you. I would like to work this out without an issue or loss of faith in your company. Please pm me for my personal info and follow up.

It is unfortunate that I have had to post this publically, but it doesn't seem like I'm getting straight answers...

Thanks

Yeah, but i hope they show up in a week or two. I got my leds with fedex in 4days, so sweden is not so far away if a serious shipping company takes it. So its probably USPS that is slow when you ship. :)

Choose Priority Mail, shouldn't be more than $10:)

$15.80. I don't mean to be cheap, but that is steep.

1. DTRL can be programmed off at the dealership

2. you have a facelift

3. you need the specific angel eye rings for facelift coupe.

Your car is a facelifted model - it's an 04-06 coupe.

You will need to select that so we can ship you the correct model.

If you have DRL, you'll want to disable them at the dealership. Our wiring sets it up so they are on all the time when your car is on.

Haha....you guys are good when it comes to Russian!

so i need the Face lift kit? and what about the remote Activation kit? Is that included? Its says so on the site.

What does it mean Face lift?

I was reading about the install what is this about Baking it???? is this necessary for me? What does that do and would that destroy the original seal for the weather?

Spasiba Bolshoyee!

Remote kit should be included, facelift basically is an updated look from the previous model design. You can tell easily by the cornerlights how ours is tilted up rather than down. I believe baking is required, but I do not know the specifics because i don't have a coupe

Spasiba Bolshoyee!

You have to bake, no two ways about it.

It doesn't destroy anything.

Ours - since all the important retailers sell our products - comes with the relay harness that has the remote kit built into it.

Now, the Predator Chromium comes with heat-sunk clips and chrome backing for extra strength.

hi, is this now also for the facelifted coupe models ?

How long does it takes before it will arrive to Belgium ?
And how much does it cost ? Can you also include the special lamps for my foglights so they look like my xenon headlights ?

Benny, the 04 Coupe versions are not with clips, they mount directly to the lenses.

If you look on the web site, it will calculate the total cost for shipping.

Its funny i bought Angel Eyes for $80 when i had my 325. Now they are $200+ for something that costs $5 to make.....tsk tsk tsk

haha yea. wish they were still 80. 200 seems pretty steep for these things. but i guess its all about supply and demand. :(

I received no fewer than 4 different messages from you.

I don't know why it took 3 months to get to you, as you can probably note on the box the date of shipment and see for yourself why/what happened. I'm sure you'll notice that we did our part, and the postal service didn't do theirs.

Additionally, please email us a picture of your car and what you received - one email to info@umnitza.com
