i've noticed that there have been a number of motorswaps within the past couple of months. This will help the next person who's thinkin about doing a motor swap to a 3.0l.

couple of questions for everyone that's done the motorswap:
how much did u pay for the engine?
how many miles were on it when u purchased it?

and/or

what was done to the 3.0L engine before the swap.

------------------------
paid: 2800
miles: 12k before rebuilding...

rebuilt the motor: honned out all the cylinders, changed the rods, rod bearings and seals.
added ASA technik stage 2 supercharger.

I haven't done it. Still using the one that came with my car, but from what I've seen in other threads, the going price averages around $3000.

2200 - Shipped with the ECU

32k on the motor

Not planning to rebuild, but will by a good clutch/flywheel combo. I plan to add cams at a later date and that is all.

You can get a used step with very low miles for around a grand. Now if you were to do a 5speed conversion, that's another story.

I personally believe an auto to manual conversion can be done for cheaper then most stories here. I'm still contemplating weather I should take such a big hit or just replace the step with another when the tranny goes.
