yes, there are a few i can think of right now, ESS and Dinan. what model is your 330?

2001-2003: ESS (http://www.esstuning.com/default.asp?c=shop&cat=93&subcat=101&subcat2=114&id=) - Dinan (http://www.dinancars.com/Series.asp?Series=14&Chassis=10&Model=4&Class=Driveline Tuning#302)

currently neither ESS or Dinan offer steptronic software for 2003.5 models and upwards.

thanks.

the soft that dinan offers it's only about the rpm.i think that the ess soft for step is better because in the manual mode the computer will not upshift.that job is going to be the driver job, which will make the step working like a smg

yes, that's what ESS' software does. ESS also states that their software "Increases shift firmness under heavy acceleration and increases the transmissions capability to hold power during shifts"

Does anyone know if there is any software to actually make the cpu change gears faster? The time it takes to shift from 1st to 2 is so slow...

"tranny software" means steptronic software.

will this software affect the software used by Technik when they installed my Sk+ kit?

BayerischeMW

no, it shouldn't.

the only thing you should take note of is that your redline is also programmed in the transmission software, so to get a raised redline both the ECU and tranny software needs to be reprogrammed.

Bringing back an old thread but, if i have the shark injector chip already installed, if i get the Dinan tranny software, will that erase the shark software?

thanks

+1

also interested if anyone here has the ESS 330 steptronic transmission software, and if it is actually worth it. does it improve performance more for modded cars, is it worth it on a ~stock car?

It will not erase it; rather it will compliment it.

The DME programming (for engine-i.e. shark reflash) is done in a completely different module; the transmission module is a different module. By enhancing the transmission module programming, you can then take advantage of the higher engine RPM redline provided by shark.
