no poly for coupe???

no sorry about taht. i have a feelin a shop could make these fit on a coupe though. might be a tad long but with some adjusting and some enlarging of holes, should be nice.

I have test fitted the polyeurethane sedan front lip and sides on my car last night.

Thoughts:

-Super high quality pieces, the real hamann pieces should have been made like these, Why buy an expensive hamann fiberglass piece when you can have these polyeurethane pieces that are tougher when it comes to scrapes and a third of the price. These parts feel like OEM poly pieces.

-Since the front lip is poly, a body shop can actually rivet them to a stock bumper and do away wit the double sided tape for toughness...Basically, if your body shop adds a flexible primer to the paint, you can scrape scrape all you want.

-The side skirts fit perfectly to the car and have very tight gaps, and the contour of the skirts themselves are indistinguishable from the real ones. And a big plus is that they have the groves built into the inside so that you can use the factory snap on clips that hold the stock sides to the car. The holes underneath that attach them to the underside of the car even line up perfectly, and again, you can use your stock clips!

Since i picked these up from Paul last night and got home when the sun was going down, i didnt get to take super detailed pics of them but the pictures that i will post later on today will be good enuff and will show the points that i am talking about. They are getting dropped off at my body shop tonite and should be done by next tuesday, i will take better pics of them as i install them on the Smurf. Pics should be coming today, since i had to borrow another camera since mine had issues. You guys cant go wrong with these parts!

STAY TUNED!

-Ray:mischief:

PS: about fitting these to a coupe, to be honest with you guys it shouldnt a problem, once adjusted properly to compensate for the slight difference in length from 2 and 4 dr, they will look fine.

what the diff btw poly and duraflex? and any package discounts?

what the diff btw poly and duraflex? and any package discounts?

big difference:

polyeurethane- same flexible plastic that your OEM bumpers are made of

duraflex- fiberglass with flexible dupont additive to make it tougher and more resilient than a normal fiberglass part.

discounts? - ask the man himself.;)

the hamann front and rear addon's are for the pre facelift cars. to make this work on your 2003, you need to get a prefacelift bumper...My car is also a 2003 and i had the same dillemma as you, so i had to change to older style...But then again, u can find prefacelift bumpers around this site pretty cheap too.

My camera had some issues and the camera i borrowed had issues too...I was able to salvage these too pics...I had them painted already and will be getting them back from the body shop on wednesday...I will start a new thread in the showroom section when i get them back. The lip will already be attached to the bumper but i will attach the sides myself.

you got that right bro. only the polyurethane versions have the railing to clip into the stock clips. the duraflex version to not have the railing to an adhesive would need to be used for the duraflex versions. both versions have the oem design on the bottom so all you need to do is drill holes where indicated and use your stock clips on the bottom too.

the skirts do have a bit of wavyness there but its because i had my painter throw a rocker panel flex additive into the paint to make it more resillient to rocks...this car is going to see some tracktime in december so i wanted to give the front lip and sides some protection against rocks. the additive is basically the same kinda stuff that makes lower rocker panels look "rough". certain manufacturers apply them to new cars. But of course they can be finished anyway u want . =)

damn mer, nice pics! so i guess my secrets is out wit the wheels.

2000_328CI
10-19-2006, 11:52 PM
yeah... plus, the finish of the skirts (in terms of paint) is really up to the body shop.... all skirts will have imperfections and with replica skirts like these, the body shop will have to do a good bit of work to get them looking right.

As long as people know that going in, i say nothing but best of luck guys

the sides will fit coupe or sedan. for those wondering, stock coupe and sedan sideskirts both measure 78". these run a tad bit shorter, so with slight adjustment front or back you'll be sittin pretty with either a coupe or a sedan.

Quick question guys.

I have a 2000 titanium silver 323ci.

I'm going to be purchasing an M3 style front bumper. it'll either have the AC Style Lip, or.. it wont :)

now my question to you guys is. Should I order these side skirts, and rear lip? What do you think would look best?

would it look good with the m3 front bumper, stock side skirts, and just buy the rear lip?

I need to start modding :excited:

I might be interested around Christmas in your upcoming GB on pre primed CSL V1s, and a set of these sides assuming they will fit on a coupe for sure. PM me with what kind of price I would be looking at.

uk shipping is steep bro. we will have to custom wrap and ship via usps which will cost $100 for front and same for rear add-ons. the front and rear will fit on your prefacelift sedan
