View Full Version : Jlevi SW | Inventory CLEARANCE: Highline Tuning Exhaust $399 (Read within!)
Jlevi SW
10-09-2006, 12:24 AM
Hey guys,
It has been brought to our attention that one of the dimensions on the Highline Tuning exhausts makes it difficult to fit on the E46 Sedan. While the exhaust fits flawlessly on the COUPE models, we want to have an exhaust that fits ALL E46.
Thus... we are clearing our ENTIRE inventory and purchasing a new batch of Highline Exhausts that will fit Sedan and Coupe!
The price is $399 + Shipping, down from $599 Retail!
To order, click the images below:

are the 'Highline' exhaust systems complete? do they come with piping and everything? or is it just the muffler?? is it direct bolt-on? or is some welding required to install them. nice exhaust.

Just wondering what differentiates this exhaust and the RE Ikon?
The RE Ikon will be significantly louder and have more of a growl as compared with this exhaust.
The great thing about the highline exhaust is that it's fully customizable. You can have it sound just a tad deeper than a stock ZHP exhaust by keeping your stock resonators, or make it progressively louder by replacing one or all of your resonators with straight pipes or magnaflow resonators.

599 for true catback?? All I can say is...Good Job Jlevi :)
BTW, the sound clip you provided was just the muffler or was that a lil preview for the full catback?

Here's mine, with all resonators kept in, no intake, brand new (not broken in muffler), additional resonator (for the quad), on SULEV 2.5 liter:

part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm5zTxIt1I0
I absolutely LOVE this exhaust :hi:
p.s. the previous clip provided by jlevi is axel-back, not catback. Catback is coming out, no available clip(s) of it yet. I'm friends with the Highline owner, so I would know =]

haha thanks ^_^...and in regards to Rogue IKON or whatever being louder, well, mine has all resonators in, and I even got an additional resonator put in for the quad...so that should muffle the sound up a bit. Also, I didn't have aftermarket intake put on for that vid recording. AND it wasn't broken in. It sounds even better now that it is. :mischief:

catback pipes can always be upgraded to the axel-back type (that's what I'm going to do), so no worries! You might get an even better price jumping on this deal for the axel-back first, and then getting the add-on pipes later :mischief:

true that...I'm not all too sure yet either guys...what I'm sure about though, is that if you get this now, your savings will not hurt later on. It's cheaper to get the muffler now, and then piping later on, as long as you don't install the muffler right away (since if so, you'll have to go back to the muffler shop once more, and pay for another day's worth of labor). In other words, if I were you guys, I'd get the muffler first, and then purchase the piping later on. Also, save on shipping if you can, by picking these up locally  just my two cents :hi:

I was analyzing this with my friend (Highline owner), and so far, we've only gotten confirmation of completed installs on coupes. Now, we're not sure if this is just coincidence, but it seems to me there shouldn't be any problem. I think the factor(s) right now is how the muffler shop (the one you choose to go to for your install[s]) does your setup for you. For me, I went to Gabe at Precision Mufflers in Milpitas, CA. and he's quite qualified, and so I didn't have a single problem =] the install went real smooth. We dunno for sure if it fits sedan or not. We're trying to get a sedan to come in, so we can find out for sure. Will keep you posted =] In the meantime, maybe you can talk to my friend for specifics or have any other questions (e-mail him at: info@highlinetuning.com)

Chitown - In all honesty you can save some money here.
Since you have a coupe, this muffler will fit your car... and for $399, I'd suggest buying it and paying a muffler shop to do custom piping (like I did on my own car) for $200-250... Out the door you're looking at around $600-650 tops (after we ship the exhaust), which I believe will be cheaper than the catback version of the highline exhaust... It's a little more work on your muffler guy, but it is worth it - and you spare the wait!

Im in the same boat as Chitown...i was thinking off waiting till the full system comes out...How much more would the piping come out to if i bought just the muffler now?
just in case, how much is shipping to 33174?
mfanatic325
10-24-2006, 08:12 PM
I think you guys should jump on the $399+shipping now, and get the catback midsection pipes later (like I'm getting soon). Worst case scenario is, you'll pay the exact same amount total as compared to waiting for the full system to come out. Best case scenario is, you save a couple hundred bucks maybe

The piping isn't released yet - and I don't have an ETA right now, so I can't really quote you :(
I'm pretty sure custom piping is less expensive to do...
Anyways I can get the muffler to you for around $430!

Sure will be - but rust on the outside won't effect anything if you get custom pipes ;) Also, mine haven't rusted in the year that I've had them... regardless... you can always buy the muffler and get the midpipes later..
