hey guys, I was just wondering if anybody has installed the facelifted tails successfully because mine don't quite fit properly (yes i'm positive I got the right type)....and to make a long story short I didn't realize the seal wasn't perfect and my battery flooded with about 3 inches of water after a huge rain storm....needless to say my battery died and I had to replace it again.....now my problem is figuring out how to seal the lights to the body of the car..... if anybody has any ideas i'd be extremely grateful to hear them
Thanks everyone

they make a product called butyl tape, in the shop we call it dum-dum. its a black sticky roll of tape similar to the consistency of silly putty. you put a bead of it around the back of the tailights where they meet the body and this should solve your leakage....any good auto supply store should have it, most likely a store that sells autobdy paint.
the only place i know of by you would be

hey tom thanks for the advice, i'll def look into it....eagle eyes are the facelifted tails that were sold on ebay before the sponsors got them....many people bought them from the same guy I did and everything came out fine....the only drawback is that they fit facelifted cars but they are still the old prefacelift style....strange you haven't heard of them :hmm:

well if you remember anything is better than my painted all red tails  yea they look great but the missing led on both sides is just a little strange :hmm: I love the LEDS though....the other werid thing is that I only have one dash out warning on my dash.....
