because the risk of damage is too high. we initially shipped several out and they were slightly damaged and if you ever had to intiate a damage claim with DHL or UPS you know what a nightmare that is.

How well does duraflex hold up? i like oem (pp) material? is it flimsy?
duraflex is basically fiberglass with a flex agent added to it to make is slightly more flexible. it behaves like figerglass. it's not flimsy but it's not as flexible as plastic. for the price though, if you ever hit a parking block hard enough, you could just get another one

I said it before and I'll say it again! I got duraflex side skirts (from paul of course), drove up a couple days after getting them installed on a sharp curb...wasn't used to the low ride of the skirts. Dragged the skirts along the curb a little bit but got off it right away. Turns out the sideskirts just got detached a bit from the body and had some scratches but that's it. The thing just flexed off of the car. I reapplied some adhesive, touched up the scratches and all was good again!

They're all the same in terms of all of them are aftermarket (not OEM fit and finish). But these responsible distributors have sourced good quality aftermarket bumpers, so fit and finish isn't too much of an issue. As for the pricing, all aftermarket are obviously less expensive than OEM (I don't recall exact prices, buuut just know they're cheaper than OEM). As for the M3 and/or CSL replica bumpers you are referring to, after market accessories for them should fit no problem, hence they are replicas of the REAL thing (same size, etc.) It all comes down to how much you're willing to spend, who you buy from, the setup/look that you want, etc. I hope that answers your question(s)? :hi:

again everyone we discontinued the mtech rears because of the lack of brackets. WE HAVE NOT sourced a piece WITH brackets that we like. With that said for local fanatics (Los Angeles) who have a good shop that can fabricate brackets we have 1 or 2 sedan versions left for $100 each PICKED UP.

I have no idea who Jlevi gets his m3 or csl bumpers from. Just keep in mind when purchasing from a vendor you want pictures of the actual product fitted. We have a huge gallery of fitted m3 bumpers and csl bumpers.
Often vendors are known for a particular product they carry. In our case, we are known as the bumper people, although we carry much more than that.
Lastly we won't be beat on our prices. that's the great thing about importing large volume directly from overseas. If fanatics show that another vendor is carrying the same bumper for less we will match or beat it. I DO know that on our upcoming shipment of prepped and primed CSL Bumpers, nobody can offer it at $499 shipped.
But the beauty of this forum is fanatics have choices!! :)
regarding the weight, m3 and csl are comparable to each other although we don't have exact weight specs. our lips will fit all our m3 bumpers as well as oem m3 bumpers. CSL bumpers it's unconfirmed whether Vorsteiner lips will fit. All m3 lips would take custom work to fit on any CSL bumper for that matter whether it be oem, ours, or Vorsteiner

m3 or acs. hamann competition sits too low for that rear.

Those Hamann rear add-ons for sedan, are they pre-facelift or post? Or does that matter with sedan rears? Mines an 02 sedan.

Yeah it is. I was just hoping they didn't facelift the rear. :) Would have given me another option for my butt problems. Would you have any idea HOW much the rear facelift changed things for an 02 model? I ask because if I decide to get any addon for my stock rear, its gonna be molded into the rear anyways, so if the 01 rears weren't any wider/higher/lower, my body guy should be able to hack an 01 addon onto my butt.

i believe the facelift rear is wider in that the prefacelift rear add on doesn't wrap all the way around. I tried on mine. lol.
