A couple of months ago I made a Thread asking people if they experienced any misfiring issues with their technik superchargers installed. My brother (2003330i) was experiencing some serious issues with his car running right after his supercharger was installed, and since we didn't know any better, we thought it was the tuning from technik. It turned out the only problem was that we brought the car to AZZEVEDO MOTORSPORTS to get the work done. They ruined the car and pretty much banked on us for giving us shi**y work.:censor:

After we checked about every hose, we finally decided that we need to get someone experienced with superchargers to check the car out. Samir told me to bring the car to Ben and Mark over at Rogue Engineering. After meeting Ben and Mark and having been able to hang out at the shop for awhile and watch them work, I knew the car was going to be in good hands. After the car was there for acouple of weeks they looked over the whole installation and they couldn't find anything that wasn't allowing the car to run right. What rogue did find was 37pound injectors that Azzevedo put in the car because they told me that the car was misfiring due to no fuel. That problem took care of the car running pig rich

Countless hours later we still couldn't figure out why the car was misfiring. They ran acouple diagnostic test and still nothing then the only thing left to do was for the car to go to Technik OR for Technik to come to New Jersey. Lucky us Zolti came to New Jersey to check the car. Once here he found many things wrong with the car. Wrong bolts used, the oil line that azzevedo put on the car was a water plumbing line(cheap crap) along with several other things that were wrong with the kit that shouldn't have been.

Finally everything was pulled off the car but the charger. Azzevedo broke the air flow sensor, injector clips, the brake vent disappeared, and all this other crap that we couldn't see was broken also. Since the injector clips were broken that was what caused the car to misfire so dam much. Now ofcoarse BMW can't just sell the injector clips you can only buy a new wiringharness. Mark hooked us up with some injector clips from a wiring harness that he had at the shop. That saved us ALOT of money.
Most people facing all the problems that we faced with this car would've just dumped the kit and and put everything back to stock but that wasn't an option. It was a 3 month process from when the car was dropped off at azevedo to when the car rolled out of Rogue running THE WAY IT WAS SUPPOSE TO RUNNING FROM THE BEGINNING.

THE OUTCOME The car has been running great for the last month now. I don't think the car has sat for more then acouple hours because of how much better the car is to drive now. We take it out alllll the time just to drive around. The kit was worth every penny!!

Thanks once again to rogue and technik and everyone that took part in makiing the car run good.

Goes to show again that 99% of most FI problems are install errors. Ask any manufacturer and they will agree. I am glad that you got it all running right finally!

yea chris my buddy had just finished tuning it and he gave it way to much fuel, so when he gave us the break he couldn't catch up until like 140. If it wasn't raining today we would do the roll with my brothers m3 and rx7. More vids to come:4ngie:

Saw your car at Rogue while I was getting mine installed. Could not see your dyno. What are the numbers?

yea i remember your car there. It made 260 to the wheel when it was misfiring and running really rich. Now it is waaaay faster. It should make somewhere around 300. It has the stock exhaust on it right now. As soon as i find a set of cats for my bro we are going to put the uuc back on. It was just waaay to loud with no cats

This is exactly why I do all the work on my car myself.

or let only knowledgeable people do the work... like a reputable company or the designer...

The sad part about this statement is that the truth is mechanics and shops that say they are the best are usually just flexing their egos and inflating their wallets. Most have never actually installed our specific aftermarket parts but think, hey, $100 an hour labor, we will figure it out. I have seen it go bad WAY too many times.

Do the work yourself or with a smart friend and get it done right. I am no mechanic, not certified in any way, but I did every single mod to my cars including 3 different superchargers, coilovers, Praxis, SSK, LSD, and LTW flywheel/clutch myself. I know it's done right, and if it's not, I know where it went wrong and whose fault it is.

Buy some tools, a Bentley, some basic auto books, and Google the rest. Learn, try, do, then smile. I always say working on your own car is the difference between a driver and an owner. You won't regret it.

^^ true

but remember

Even if your the type that uses an oil extractor because you dont like the way the oil gets in between your nails.

as long as your knowledgeable that there are masta techs like zolti and awesome shops just "round each our regions that keeps the FI e46s going strong, you can still call yourself a enthusiast because you know better now then taking it to any regular mechanic shop.

Installation is the critical part you dont want to cut corners through to save money.

anywayz to the OP Im happy for you man Finally huh fixed just take it easy!

all I know is I too am proud zolti worked on my car.:hi:

btw technik always has cars that have been products of poor installtion from other shops.

the annoying part was azzevedo said that they can do the install no problem and that they had done it 100 times. I tried explaining to them that not many people had the kit installed on the zhp's yet but they said they could do it. Then after they ruined the install with careless mistakes they were pointing the blame at everyone else.
