I have a 323 and now that all the sales are taking place I am looking to go FI. The two I am looking at are VF and AA. Which should I get and why? It's been racking my brain for a couple weeks and I can't decide.

What is the major difference bw the two systems regarding power delivery and everyday driving?
which one is easier to install and maintain?

I'm not looking at Twin Screw because they are $$$$$ and this 323 is a second car.

Thanks for the help and info.

Both companies are great. It's hard to make a wrong decision when you have come down to VF or AA.
I would go with AA. Their Stage 1 kit comes with a FMIC and an Oil Cooler.

The fact that AA is in Miami may be the deciding factor. I just don't like that the AA isn't upgradable.

Have you gone to AA to speak to a salesperson and take a look at a kit? Actually, if they have a car there with an installed kit at the time you're there, you can probably get a ride in it.

AA can upgrade anything.

I recommend what David suggested- take a look at the kits and drive a car.

What type of upgradeable options were you looking for?

AA can upgrade anything.

 your car makes me :excited: that is all....

Sry for OT...

I've heard the the rotex blower is already being pushed near its output limit @8psi. so potential to run higher boost seems to be risky at best. Overheating/breaking of the rotex blower at higher psi???? I have also heard that the blower runs at higher temps than other blowers and therefor NEEDS its own oil cooler....once again limiting it's upgradability due to heat and thus reliability.

I'm not sure if these are all true or rumors but they are things I've read while researching.

thanks for all the help and keep it coming.

Well there are bigger Rotrex blowers, some can range in the 11-15psi range if needed. I think the C30 on the 330 kit can get up to 10psi or so. The 8psi kit seems fine though, its already making 277rwhp on a LOW READING MUSTANG DYNO without headers or camshafts.

The rotrex uses its own oil only b/c it needs lubrication for its friction gears inside. It cannot run with the engine oil, it uses a transmission type lubrication instead. Also it doesnt NEED its own oil cooler, Rotrex sells them without it, AA adds on a oil cooler for added cooling. I have NEVER experienced heat with the rotrex, in fact i bet it runs cooler then the rest.

Remember ive put the Rotrex to the test more then anyone. Ive been to the track plenty, ive used plenty of nitrous and VERY aggressive driving daily on high boost with no issues at all!

Awesome!

Thanks for all the info. A lot of good information I didn't know and was actually concerned about.
It's good to hear you've had such good reliability with the kit even with the *mild* abuse you dish out.

VF vs AA is a tough comparison.

With AA you get local help, which is great (if you're actually in Miami). You get a higher psi kit (8 psi to 6.5 psi) and thus more power from the kit. All that translates to 40 hp more in difference for similar costs (depending on current pricing).

If you want a kit that is installed more cleanly, has a blower that is more noticable in sound, and you can dIY without a hitch I'd look at the VF. Their products are well put together, and they get good numbers for how conservative the setup is.

Since its a second car I'm wondering if its the weekender, or the daily. If tis the daily I'd go VF, if its the weekender I'd go AA. AA will be more balls to the wall, and VF will give you a bit more reliability.

Worth noting VF has yet to release an upgrade (stage II) either.

Go with AA not one problem, I have it on my car and love it.

AA for sure. They're local to you, kit makes more power, and their SC kits have gotten nothing but great reviews from all who own them on the forum. Sometime down the line, the AA kit will be my choice as well.

Thanks for all the input. I think AA is going to be my SC mostly due to the fact that they are in Miami and the system is solid, reliable, and makes good power throughout the rev range.
I'll keep you guys updated on the progress and outcome.

if you can get the people that sell you the kit to install it for you thats huge.

go with that kit no matter what it is imo, if u dont know what youre doing you need someone who does

You surely mean "in the US" Vik, because you cannot possibly stress the Rotrex like people in other parts of the world can daily with entirely different results. Our lousy speed limits and ridiculous traffic laws prohibit "daily driving" of that nature. Unless you drive 130+mph to work for an hour to work every day each way.
