What motor oil should I use?

I'm gonna SC soon and I am also doing a full maintnance tune up. What oil weight should I use on my FI 323?

I've been running Motul Chrono 5W-40 since my first oil change. I love it, 100% synthetic, the only downside is it's fairly expensive. My car ran a lot smoother after switching from the factory oil to Motul, anyways there's a lot of good oils, just find one that fits your needs.

I'm thinking of Mobil 1 0w40 unless this is no better the stock 5w30 oil. If they are both more or less equal then i'll just stick with the the BMW oil. I'll take a look at Motul and Amsoil as well but I think oil weight is my main concern. Not really sure if i should use a high weight with FI.

if you use light weight you might end up just burning the oil....

I use Mobile 1 Full Synthetic 10W-30 after I got S/C'ed, a little heavier weight. The car feels great!

Thanks for the 411 guys....i'll make sure i switch from the 0w40 i use now to something a bit heavier.
