For those of you that have passed smog with a supercharger and/or headers, how did you do so? Does having the post cat 02 sensors turned off cause a fail on the computer? Will adding beefy cats produce a smog passable gas?
Thanks in advanced,
J

From my experience having back o2 sensors turned off doesnt do anything but delete the SES light...the front o2 sensors to all the work for the comp...if the front o2 sensors arnt working right your effed... But i live in florida with no- smog checks

i would assume that beefy cats and an SES clear would do the trick...

Wouldn't the presence of a non-CARB certified SC immediately fail on visual inspection? I'm not from CA but I thought they were pretty strict about such things.

Yeah, any non-CARB certified SC will fail you instantly as it wont pass visual inspection.
You can try and bribe your way through a shop, but even this is getting harder and harder. When we had to smog our wagon, thats what we did. The guys ran a jeep and called it our wagon so that we could pass.
It pays to have friends in the field.

I am less concerned with the visual inspection, more on the computer/ exhaust gasses.
Luckily, it looks like I will be able to get with a "friend" in the business as a back up.
