Technik softwar question

I want to bring my car to the dealer cause they said they have some updates for our cars with some idel issues. Now if they flash the ecu with it will I loose my software that in there now. Or can I get it done and be ok or will I have to then get Technik to put back the fual maps for the car for the stage I'm running.

I thinks its a bad idea to go to the stealers to get OEM factory software written over your tuned DME.

yeah i know that but its to fix a problem that tuned software dosn't do,the software that technik puts in is just for fual maps and stuff.

Yes you will lose your program.

If you aren't having the problems they are describing, I wouldn't get the update done.

In that case, you have three options:
1) Have the dealer program the ECU, drive the car *LIGHTLY* (no boost!) and get the ECU/file to technik for them to reprogram.
2) Ask technik if they have a base file with the idle upgrades that they can program the car with (they probably don't, as it's best to modify the file that came in the car)
3) leave the car as is
