So I have a 2005 325xi 5MT. I love the idea of awd in a beamer, but the 325 isnt nearly as sporty as i'd like. I was considering selling it when I graduate next year, to buy a used S4. Then, I recently started thinking I could just put some money into it and make it into the car i really want. Basically, I'm looking for input. Should I put the money in for a new suspension, SC, lightweight flywheel, big brakes, ssk, headers, possibly quad exhast, and of course some aesthetic mods. Or should I just save up and go for the S4?

Thanks!

id say go for a b5 s4, chip it, awd twin turbo, and lots of power

sc'ing the 325xi would be very cool, but some people (some) would consider it throwing good money after bad

you would be far more intimate with your car, but it depends on what you want

getting the s4 and chipping it would be far easier

goodluck

yeah, I sorta feel that it would be much easier to go with a S4 too. But at the same time.. i would love to have a one of a kind 310 bhp xi sedan. (if i went with activeautowerke).

ugh... Life is so hard :)

Find out first of all if there is a SC kit available for XI.

I'm no expert, but i'd imagine anything that fits the 325i engine will fit my engine. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't. I don't know any company that makes kits for e46 XIs. There might be some custom made kits around. Contact leading vendors, someone may help you. I'd better buy an S4 in your place.
