K, I changed my car over to a six speed conversion from my 5 speed.

Parts changed:
E46 M3 tranny,C/W clutch and flywheel
M3 Drive shaft
M3 Axels
M3 diff and carrier
M3 Abs sensers
Also added cats to the car cause last year I ran with out them. (random Technology)

Also put a oil distribution block on for oil temp and oil presure

Problem: Car runs great for the first 5 min, Then it go'es into a limp mode that dosn't allow for complete acceleration. But it dosn't show any codes or any lights on the dash. If you keep driving it will allow you to drive fine with coasting but on WOT it dosn't go. Sometimes it will just reset it self but if you hit it again it will go back to this limp mode. Again no lights or codes to find the issue. It dosn't also allow you to pull over the 5 or 6 rpm mark before hitting limp mode again. BUT NO CODES OR LIGHTS OR CHECK ENGIN

Things checked.
We checked to make sure we were not loosing boost.(Everything is fine cause when it works it makes full boost) no leaks eaither but if there was then it would atleast drive with out a limp mode

Checked all fuses
Checked Post cat sensers
Even put the post cat sensers back to the Org spot. where they were before I put the cats in. and left the cats in place.

What do you think could be the problem. We are stumped and just a loss for words. Could it be that the software needs to be re programed or what.

PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP

The swap you did should have in no way affected engine performance. If the car is truly going into limp mode, as you say, then codes/shadow codes will be triggered 100% of the time. The car will not go into limp mode without throwing faults. The problem you are describing could be caused by tons of things. For now, take this one step at a time and hook up a code reader to the car.

Check your MAF too. Hook a reader up to the car and look at the values as you approach 5-6K RPM to see why the car is pulling timing/entering limp mode.

well just got back from the shop and after many hours and code readers which didn't pick anything up.

But we did change the mass air flow sener and that did the trick. It was just crazy that it didn't pick that up.

Bimmersport did all the work here. They did a great job and everything went together like as it was meant for it. The car really pulls hard through each gear now cause they is no lag.

yeah a 3.62. When I say no lag what I mean is that with the six speed when you shift your rpms are higher in the rpm band so your boost is higher and so on and so on.
