I've got a possibility lined up where I might be able to purchase a 2002 M3, its got the non-intercooled Dinan S/C and approximately 17000 miles on it.
I'm a little worried about the reliability of Dinan despite it being recognized by BMW dealers (heard rumours about a lawsuit against Steve Dinan for poor quality or something...haven't verified yet). Also, I'm worried as to what that has done to the engine and whether I should be expecting major repairs soon if I buy?
What's the average annual maintenance costs you FI guys are incurring each year approximately? What do you think about Dinan and this car - should I express some serious interest? If so, what do you think such a car would be worth?
