Pinging on acceleration around 6K w/TS1

When accelerating hard beyond 6k there is some pinging. Not like a low octane knocking. Sounds more like marbles bouncing in a jar.

Engine did not make that sound prior to install of TS1.

Any ideas?

If I were you I'd sideline the car until you can sort out the knocking issue. The sort of knocking you describe, if it is truly knock, will destroy the pistons and could do severe damage to the rod bearings.

It is one of 2 things :

1. To much exhaust backpressure (clogged cats?)

2. You run 91 octane on 93 octane programming, if you can not get ahold of good enough fuel you should install the TS1 91 octane software.

Anytime someone uses the phrase marbles in a can/jar to describe pinging it makes me suspicious of the vanos unit. Does this "pinging" only occur under load or can you duplicate it by revving the engine while in neutral?
