Hello Board,

We have received quite a few inquires about a level 2 kit for the E46 C38 kits.
So we decided to show you what we have been working on.

We will have Dyno numbers soon.

Right now we are testing the kit in everyday conditions and heat of South Florida.

Enjoy.

Will I have to upgrade any engine internals or install headers/cams for stage II?

If it is anything like the E36 M3 Stage II kit...I'm excited!:excited:

No engine upgrades necessary, you only need what AA suplies in the upgrade kit

Isn't that slightly higher than a stock M3 rwhp? How does the torque on this stage 1 setup compare to a stock M3?

what pulley are you guys runing on this blower for the m54??? how much boost are you getting??? could we use a larger crank pulley, or smaller blower pulley to bet to arround 15-17 psi???

you dont need it....the problem is the blower cant generate more boost... the engine is fine.

the reason i didn't buy stage 1 during the sale they had is because it said stage 2 is near completion or something like that.

yes, stock m3 range from 270 to high 290 with mods such as exhaust, intake, and chip

They will have an upgrade available... It's just gonna be a bit of piping, an intercooler, some mounts, a pulley, belt, and a software flash.

our motors can handle 12 psi on stock compression... anything over that, id lower the compression but not by plenty....
i honestly think its not necessary to go all the way to 8.5CR unless you are runing a turbo, and boosting arround 20 psi...

If you look on AA's site, the E36 M3 has a C38 Stage II upgrade kit for $2900 which is/was on sale for $2600.

AA said in an email that their goals in price/power will be similar to the E36 M3 kit. I'm waiting to see the end result before I make a final decision...C38 Stage II vrs ESS TS Stage II.

If the E46 torque curve for the C38 II kit is like the E36 M3 torque curve with the Stage II...then I will definitely go with this kit. Similar low end power for $1400 less.

What's the best time of the year to buy one do you think, specifically in regards to pricing? Winter months, spring, summer fall? Any idea when the best discounts are given?

I took the car for a drive today and all I could say is wow! The power feels great, even in the 100 degree Miami weather, the car feels like it has way more torque, and the power feels like it kicks in a lot earlier. :excited::excited:

We should be getting a chart sometime soon guys.

AA said they plan to release the stage II kit around the end of the year based on an email.

I'm buying mine in the winter so I can have it installed before the spring. Because spring is the perfect time of the year to go driving.

Plus, it is never fun installing anything during the texas summer heat.

Sorry for the delay guys. We have been swamped with other projects.

Durring the preliminary testing we are finding consistant numbers of around 336WHP. We are still testing with different pulleys, and once we get another car to test with we will release more info in regards to dyno graphs, and price.

I'd love to tell you guys more about it, but since it is a prototype and not yet released...
I'll let Active tell you about the details. They're still unsure about which set up they are going with.
All I can say is that I am very pleased, so much torque that I need a new suspension set up on the rears.
