what do u think. how imporoved will the 1/4 mile time will be. how much faster then SC with stock or 3.91 gears ..or is it just imposible to get traction and its waste... please vote here..http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=498309

3.91's are the suggested gear upgrade for many with F1. Its supposed to help them use the power more efficiently.

IMO, off the line 3.91s with FI would be a waste, especially in any sort of cold weather where the power output would be high and tire traction would be low.
When the temperature drops below 45-50degF my wheels spin to redline in 2nd gear.

i raised this issue a while back on the M3 forum, read this thread here:

So I don;t think 3.91 is that bad for track driving. Even for dd seems ok, as long as your foot is trained.
