Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that the testing phase of our E46 M3 SMG electronics for the HPF750 turbo kit is now completed. We were able to successfully match the "stock" driveability and shifting characteristics with our engine management system. This works for all three methods of shifting: auto mode, shifting on the console and shifting with the paddles, as well as with all shifting intensity levels.

We are now finishing the design of our SMG brake resevoir, and verifying and making any clutch modifications for our "SMG" Feramic clutch. The "SMG" M3 in our shop will be receiving the "HPF750" turbo kit in the next couple weeks.

I'll keep you posted.

Take care,
Chris.

Thank you Chris! That is great news!

Please do yourself a favor.

1) Tune with your 89/91 mix first on a full cat vehicle. (for those states with 91 max conveniently at every pump)
2) Post the dyno with that setup first.
3) Then tune for 93 octane second on a full cat vehicle. (for those states with 93 max conveniently at every pump)
4) Post the dyno with that setup second.
5) Tune with your 89/91 mix third on a no cat vehicle. (for those states with 91 max conveniently at every pump)
6) Post the dyno with that setup third.
7) Then tune for 93 octane fourth on a no cat vehicle. (for those states with 93 max conveniently at every pump)
8) Post the dyno with that setup fourth.
9) Then tune for 109 octane fifth on a full cat vehicle.
10) Post the dyno with that setup fifth.
11) Then tune for c16 octane sixth on a no cat vehicle.
12) Post the dyno with that setup sixth.

SMG and turbo!! wow!! Can you say turbo spool!! I would really love to see how this will work. I need a vid. I guess the only problem would be trying to launch good.

Hi Chris.

I know you've said that you could match the stock characteristics of the drivetrain... my question is, at what power level will the new feramic clutch slip in S6 mode, WOT shift from say 2nd to 3rd at 8000rpm? Will the clutch hold that abuse at 600whp just fine? Can the drivetrain even take that kind of abuse?

With a turbo car, it's nice to keep things spooled by doing WOT shifts, so it'll most likely be used. Not to mention I'm so used to the tranny I'd probably do it all the time without thinking.

I guess it's time for me to re-enforce that rear subframe :).

Great questions, I would love to hear about this also since i have never driven a smg vehicle. Unlike an automatic where the torque converter can kill some power at the shifts and make the shift smoother the smg should be much harsher at wot.

Chris, Do you guys offer anything for the E39 or E60 M5's?

(Sorry to get off topic).
