FI for 4 Potter (318) e46

Hello.....

Am a newbie to Forced Inductions. Have got an 4 potter e46 (318i) which i want to Supercharge. Have looked at the AA website but it only has 318 superchargers for the e36. My questions are:-

1. will the e36 318 supercharger kit (the complete kit on the website) fit into the e46 318?
2. will i need to change/replace my torque converter to a higher (330 or perhaps aftermarket, if theres such a thing) grade to reduce blowouts?
3. I'm in Malaysia so will shipping the complete kit be possible?
4. whats the bhp increase from my stock setup?
5. which would be adviseable (am looking for "kick me into my seat" power) to install ie a supercharger or a turbocharger?

Am really a newbie to this FI thing so please don't flame....

I don't think AA even carries e36 318 kits... link?

i know there are others in malaysia SC'd, so maybe you can talk to some locals and find out malaysia specific details like the shipping, etc.

from what I learned form talking to people in malaysia, its almost impossible to tune cars out there. US spec kits will not work on their DMEs

I think all of them run somekinda "ASAtronic"(i just like saying that) piggyback on their 325 and 330.. you might want to try emailing ESS European Supercharger Systems www.esstuning.com its not listed on their site but

since they (on that continent) have inline-4 e46s and diesels, they should be the first once on your list to contact..

My advice....

either changed to m54 6 potters and charged it

or stick to ur current 318.

u wunt get much of ur "kick seat" power from a 318 especially from auto transmission.

Btw is not the torque converter that blow out , its inside of ur gearbox mechanism that will blow out.

I had seen a lot of pples running on piggy back beside asatronic, i had opt for a reflashing done at singapore.
