So I'm gonna make a new thread about my problem, VF stage 1 kit on for about 3 months. My butt dyno and that of others tells me I'm not putting down 480chp / 400rwhp. Also, on the road course I find that the Dinan non-intercooled 440chp car pulled away slightly from me, not bad, but noticeable. Now, the driver is a pro race driver that might also just have carried more speed out of the chicane. Also, on the front straight I barely pull from a 360hp modified Sti.

I am at 1100m above sea level, how much difference would my altitude make ?

I am going to dyno the car and take it back to the tuner, but just wanted to get some suggestions from you guys ?

Can you install a boost gauge, that will tell us alot right away.

1100m is approx 3600', that's quite a bit, also depending on the temps and BP, the adjusted altitude could be much higher, which will have a huge affect on performance. Turbo charged cars will do much better at altitude than NA or SC'd cars, they have a wastegate to compensate for boost loss, you could be loosing 1-2 lbs. of boost at that altitude, but the Dinan car you should walk.

yah, it feels like I am missing 1-2 or more lbs of boost.

Will try get dyno next week plus investigate boost gauge.

thks.

Also, check your coolant level (via the fill port on the intake manifold).
