That has nothing to do with what I said.

I told you to save your money and buy something better than the Bose.

Ahhhh my bad miss read it. What would you recommend then? I have heard a lot about Sennheiser headphones. Whats the best bang for the buck?

Sennheiser are very good for a popular consumer brand. They offer some pretty good headphones for the money.

It depends on what you want the headphones to do.

The Bose are all around over-priced trash. They offer sound quality that could be matched by sub-$100 Sennheisers, and noise-cancelling that are matched by the sub-$200 Sennheisers.

If you're after headphones that are truly made for sound quality, you can't go wrong with Grado. Each are hand-assembled in NY.

You can find them on eBay usually.

Though, brand new, for the price of brand new Bose, you can get the Prestige 325i. They're the top of the Prestige line, and then your headphone model will match your car model.

wtf are you talking about - since we work closely with seinnheuser I can tell you there are certain bose ones that are way better .... so don't act like you're the authority

no i'm not saying bose are the best or near the top even ... but they're not "trash" or "overpriced" as you call them.

I paid about $140 for a pair of the $300 ones and they're better than the other 3 pairs of "trash" i have lying around

They're over-priced. Comparable Sennheisers are half the price, and sonically more pleasing.

Bose QC3s are $350. Grado 325is are $295. The Grado will outperform the Bose in every category (except sound cancelling - because they aren't sound cancelling headphones!)

Bose are over-marketed, over-priced, and under-engineered. $350 for plastic headphones!

Not for me. :)

Ive never liked the Bose headphones either, ive liked every Sennheiser ive used, even the fold up noise canceling ones. My latest is the plantronics bluetooth set and they sound good out of about 5 different ones for bt
Over all for airplane use I use a full over the ear headset the Sennheiser 250hd i think.. pretty cheap and work really good, just bulky.
