Oil Change

I recently bought a 2001 330i with an active autoworks supercharger on it, is there a way to get a maint. manual that tell when the oil should be changed and how to do it on the supercharger, also what type of fluid and qty that is takes? Any help is greatly appreciated.:thumbsup:

Don't know where to get a manual, but anybody can tell you for a car with a supercharger, change the oil often (5k-7.5k mi.) and with a high quality synthetic oil. Other than that, it shouldn't matter.

Check the level every 5,000 miles. Replace the oil every 40- to 50-thousand miles or every 2 years.

Right, for the SC itself. I have a different question - AA includes a maintenance list with their SC kit that talks about changing oil and filter every 3k, the diff. every 7-10k, spark plugs every 10-15k. (but no interval on air filter, or tm fluid). Seems way too aggressive.... maybe they say that so any performance degradation from the maintenance items doesn't get misplaced on the SC product.

What kind of intervals are more realistic for a SC daily driver that will only get pushed every so often (never tracked)? Engine oil - BMW says 15k, most NA on the forum say 7.5, and I think I saw one SC post that mentioned every 5k. I'm thinking 5k for oil/filter, 30k for TM and diff, 50k for plugs (half the NA interval), and 15k for air filter.

What do you guys think?
