check out Active, I saw a add for there superchargers and turbos, they were running a sale because of the up and coming new e92 M3. So you might find one that is like 2-3g's Cheaper!

active currently doesnt have any turbo kits for non-m's, they are 100% capable of making a custom one for me, but that would require that i sell that life sized solid gold elephant in my backyard.....

ive heard that too, but whether or not it will be a reliable kit will be a different story, active on the other hand is a different story, plus id much rather buy from active since they are local and if there are any issues with the kit, i wont have to ship my car to them to get it fixed

No one that I'm aware of has an actual production, off-the-shelf, ready to buy, plug and play kit available.

Now certain companies may be able to custom fab something together for you doesn't make it a "kit."

/Moved to FI forum.

If you're set on AA you may be waiting a while then. HPF is a reputable company. I'm buying their turbo kit the minute it comes out for the 323. Hopefully this happens within the next year or so.

i guess ive always loved turbos, before the 330 i was into the japanese import scene, i was a HUGE fan (still am) of the supra, skylines, 300zxTT's, evos, and so on.... and after taking a ride in uribe's 335, it really made me think lol

theres nothing wrong with s/cing, hell i wouldnt mind it one bit lol but ive always been a turbo kinda guy, plus a nice BOV is sexy :drool::drool:

It's on our books to have one completed for the E46 330i by next years Bimmerfest (May 2008). It will use quite a few of the parts from our E46 M3 turbo kit.

Here is my current project plan for the next turbo kits in line. Our goal is to hit or beat these dates, but projects like these can always take longer than expected until all the unknowns are uncovered and all the obstacles are overcome.

E46 M3 Stage 1 - non SMG - released July 1st, 2007 - $16,000
E46 M3 Feramic clutches - SMG and non SMG - released July 1st, 2007 - $795

E46 M3 Stage 1 - SMG general release - September 24th - $16,000
E46 M3 Stage 2 - "methanol" general release - November 15th - $2,500 add on to Stage 1
E46 M3 Stage 1 - RHD "right hand drive" general release - November 31st - $16,000
E46 M3 Stage 3 - general release - December 15th - $???
E46 330i Stage 1 - general release - May 2008 (we hope to have a turbo'd E46 330i at Bimmerfest next year) - turbo system to be priced between $12,000 and $14,000.

We do all of the installations here in Portland, OR for the first batch of orders beginning on the general release date for each stage. Expect 1-2 months after the general release before we will ship them to our installation partners or to customers directly.

I bought a VF Engineering kit from another Fanatic but have yet to put it on, timing, Iraq, etc. I was just looking around at other options...

IMO, turbos are more flexible and you can upgrade unlike an SC, thats it when you bolt it on. For the hardcore tuner, I still believe turbos still are a good option. The problem with non m3's, it is so hard to find an engine management that will work with a turbo for a BMW. Japaneese cars, no problem about it.

Anybody who did a non M e46? I would love to hear your story. I'm still in the process of figuring it out. Turbo, piping, intercooler etc install is no problem. Its just the damn engine management I couldnt go around with. Has anybody tried tuning it with the stock ECU?

Harold Sosa has a turbocharged 323i

http://www.bmwpsi.com/BMW_Supercharger_Turbo_Nitrous_profiles.php

It's near the middle of the page.

I wonder how reliable his kit is, and what kinda numbers he's making. Looks like he went the cheap route on alot of his stuff though....
